IceDude 0 Posted June 13, 2004 BIS can u guys plz do something vs this sorry ass cheaters!!! its impossible to get a game without a damn cheater in it who remowes all buildings or sees u trught walls , has soldiers bodyes colored etc etc ...... also these cheats are easy to get. Im sure that u culd do something to stop them or atleast slow them down. Wuld be fine if lets say 5 players had it but when 100 of them has it its sad. InqWiper 0 Posted June 13, 2004 I think a bigger problem than the cheating is that people are aware that there are cheats and some people see cheats everywhere. If they got shot through a bush someone uses texturecheat to make the bush seethrough and if someone shot you before you shot them they have aimbot. Go to good servers and play and use checkfile and kick everyone who has modified files if you are desperate. I don't get to play as much, but on a LAN with practically no lag and people who are trustworthy and directly accountable for their actions is far more worth it. Just because someone has an apathetic view towards online cheating doesn't mean they like or espouse it. Get a life. I'd say more often than not as indicated in the quote. People who are easy to determine someone a cheater and accuse them of it would make the situation far worse. Not to mention that lag on OFP is very odd. I've played remotely where someone saw me running somewhere and I had clearly already hid behind a building and I died out of view from the enemy just because the weird lag. I've also killed people when they've been running out in the open and they said they had already ran and hid behind somewhere. I could easily see that being construed as cheating... pair that with just awful lag (of any sort. I can't stand lag). It's pretty easy to see why it would cause more problems than it solves. If you find cheats and/or cheater websites then please send them to me, all such threads do is advertise their availability and risk increasing usage of them.
