Praha suburbs

No...BIS aren´t in center of Prague etc...they have own small house near our capital:P

Now that's a nice area around there. I can't wait for my next visit to Praha in July/August - it's a beautifull city!

And yeah, those 'plattenbauten' can be found all over the former eastern block - and in most bigger west european cities suburbs. In in the former kommunist east of Germany they even build a whole city in that manner:

Now that's a nice area around there. I can't wait for my next visit to Praha in July/August - it's a beautifull city!

Having lived in those things (slightly better and smaller than in ex-eastern bloc though) the worst thing was overly zealous (mostly retired) neighbours complaining just about everything. sad_o.gif

Otherwise they are not so bad when you get used to it and stairs make great exercise. tounge_o.gif

Here in Sweden these "concrete slabs" are often covered with metal plates (is it metal plates?) in various colours. Blue is really popular, especially around the area I live. And those that aren't covered like that are usually painted over, it's been quite a while since I saw any real grey concrete slab-buildings.
