Major Fubar 0 Posted April 28, 2004 OK, I'm pleased to announce my first major addon project - the Soviet shotgun pack. So far, plans are to include the following weapons: Saiga 12K (semi-auto 12 gauge, 5 or 8 round box magazine) TOZ-194 (pump-action 12 gauge, 7 round tube magazine) RMB-93 (pump-action 12 gauge, 7 round tube magazine) GM-94 (pump action grenade launcher 43mm, 3 + 1 in the chamber) Haven't decided yet whether to make it JAM compatible or stand alone (might make 2 versions). Also, since some of the weapons are mainly used by Russian special forces, I may link it to an existing units pack (with permission of course). Any question, comments or suggstions are most welcome. Also, any good (colour) pics of these weapons, and any firing sounds would be cool. Bear in mind - texturing and (especially) model design aren't my strongpoint, but I have some friends who will help me out with this...the config.cpp will be purely me, though. AdmiralKarlDonuts 0 Posted April 28, 2004 Lol, how often do you see this... A gun with its very own website http://www.saiga-12.com/Photo_Gallery.htm
rambozo 0 Posted April 28, 2004 Hey man, I have an old saiga12 that I started a LONG time ago. I posted screenies of it on here. Maybe I can give it to you? I don't really have plans on finishing it. Its fairly old and not quite up to my abilities anymore though. But I still think its a decent model. Also lots of guns have their own websites. Falfiles, ak-47.net, and so on. Major Fubar 0 Posted April 28, 2004 The model would be very much appreciated...and guarantee you a spot in the readme credits! Feel free to PM or email me about it ( fubar@virtual-mail.com )
tkkivi 0 Posted April 28, 2004 Hey nice idea! but, could you make a good old rusty and trusty Baikal? i mean, that would be brilliant. Though it´s not in any military use. I don´t have a lot of reference photos of it, but i bet someone has? Baikal IJ-
MEDICUS 0 Posted April 28, 2004 Is that Saiga-12 really a shotgun? Looks for me more like an AK (Note: I have absolutly no knowledge about weapons ... neither east nor west  ) So it would be really nice (for me) to see some pics of the different weapons in here. Btw: I think the idea to add them to units is very good. Standalone weapon-addons are in my opinion harder to use (in missions) then one which comes together with units. Major Fubar 0 Posted April 28, 2004 It's a magazine fed shotgun, sort of like an East equivalent of the SPAS-15:

void_false 1 Posted April 28, 2004 good luck fubar! i really love your idea. We have too little shotguns atm in ofp.
tkkivi 0 Posted April 28, 2004 About the shotguns, are you planning on making a simulated shell, or go with the 45 bullets that all come out in a rush? You should really try out the LSC´s M590, it really makes you feel like shooting with a real shotgun, not having those 2 second long muzzleflashes. Thumbs up on the Baikal! Major Fubar 0 Posted April 28, 2004 I'm going to play with the config to get it as realistic as possible. I will be looking at various shotgun addons for inspiration for the config. I want each weapon to be able to fire either buckshot or solid slugs. I will probably include the Baikal - but it will be for a civilian unit or Resistance... Major Fubar 0 Posted April 29, 2004 After the Soviet shotguns, I may well work on a West/miscellaneous shotgun pack. (P.S. The Striker is one of my fave shottys too) Here's a little collage of the GM-94 (from the sources cited in my other thread):

andy_aws 0 Posted April 29, 2004 @Fubar Where can I download that USAS? All the links in the topic you referenced are dead....
chaztheducky 0 Posted April 29, 2004 i relly want to get my hands on the gm-94 but i was corious as to how it worked. like a pump action shotgun? or semi?
Major Fubar 0 Posted April 29, 2004 The GM-94 is like a pump action shotgun (a modified RMB-93, I believe), but instead of firing 12 gauge, it fires 43mm grenades. @andy_laws I looked for a download site for the USAS-12, but couldn't find any. I have it on my HDD, so I will try to upload it later (I'll post a link when I do).

Major Fubar 0 Posted April 30, 2004 The USAS-12 wasn't made by me: you'd have to ask the creator - USMC Sniper - Â [edit] Here's the upload of the USAS-12: http://home.ripway.com/2004-4/107213/Art_USAS.zip or http://ihost.it-mate.co.uk/users1/majorfubar/files/Art_USAS.zip [/edit]
