MEDICUS 0 Posted May 12, 2004 There is some experimenting going on about this mission. Ideas to improve it are welcome of course. The bradley pack and vitapc were taken out due to performance reasons but afaik will be in the next version again as v1.1 of the bradley pack fixed some issues with the scripts not always being turned off. There will also be a version without this addons though. Yes, i'll make two versions of the cti next. One with all this nice addons like the BradleyPackv1.1, VitAPC Pack v1.4, MTLB Packv2.0 and Artillery (M109Paladin for west and 2s19 Howitzer for east) and one version without. I could change that in the next version, but didn't add all till now to reduce lag (a lot of more scripts and random-commands would run if i add them). Which addons are you thinking of? Speeeedy 0 Posted May 26, 2004 Perhaps the Mi-2....it aint as small as the littlebird, But its way smaller then the Mi-17 or Hind. But then again why do they have to have balanced units. You for instant could give the west a strong airforce, but the USSR an strong airdefence, etc By the way i was wondering is it possible to have an script that when your under attack you can ask for backup by radio, either by infantry or perhaps an airassault from aircrafts coming from an aircraft carrier or so? rekster 0 Posted June 21, 2004 1st I would like to say great work on the USMC version of CTI. Had a chance to play it this weekend, and found it to be a lot of fun, and very stable. Also never had any lag, which is a big plus. Have you also considered converting the MFCTI 1.16 Coop version, and porting it to diff. Islands? Most of the time at our clan, we have a hard time finding enough people to play human team vs human team. We usually play coop, and enjoy that very much. benu 1 Posted June 21, 2004 Before cti we played coop exclusively, but in the last month there are always lots of cti players on our server and we normally have enough players for human vs human cti. Feel free to visit, especially when the new server is ready (hopefully in the next days). We do have some new coop cti, but i can't tell how good they are as i really prefer to play against human opponents. Yep, i ´did that a while ago, but it was laggy like hell (like the original one) So perhaps i'll try to confert the "old mfcti1.1b coop, this one wasn't as laggy (i never had lag in this one). But i don't know when i'll find the time to do this (and i think i'll wait until Rudedog/Pablo release their awsome M113-Pack and the next update of the Bradley-Pack (including the othee units [don't remember the names of the vehicles right now]). Medicus I can understand were you are coming from with not having much time to make your changes. I saw that Rudedog/Pablo are also doing a MRLS, along with the M113. I can see why you want to wait for those to come out, before making any more changes. Look forward to your next update of the USMC CTI maps. Hmmm, i can only speak for me, but i think you should just try it (after we got our new server  ). 300ms isn't that high as long as you have enough bw.  Ahh, MRLS .... that was the name i was looking for  Btw: We have some more USMC-CTIs on our server (4.16 and 4.16@-versions on different islands like Anjou SE, Anylimv2, Dravoc ...) Well, you could always leave if the game is to laggy for you and we could always kick you if it is too laggy for us But as Medicus already said, we think bandwidth is more important than ping, at least if pings are not considerably above 300. But i can understand if you want to play on your own server, i would feel the same. I try to make you a package and put that on our site.
