@cero 0 Posted April 21, 2004 I once heard about an invissible target addon. I thought I have downloaded it, but instead I downloaded another invissible targets addon, Lester's one. The difference between the two addons is that Lester's is static, won't move, and the other one can be set up with waypoints and move around, and that's what I need, but for more than I search I can't find it. I have the impression that the author didn't released as an addon but he/she created and used it for a mission or campaign. I been searching here using the search button, I even searched in topics that I suspect this is been mentioned( I oviousley been in them topics before) Can anybody bring any light? any clues where can I find it? Thanks @CERO.
SelectThis 0 Posted April 21, 2004 Nagual used some in his Tonal missions. Take a look in the Tonal Package for the targets. SelectThis
bmgarcangel 0 Posted April 21, 2004 Guess its your lucky day! I was crusing the forums and saw your very desperate post that all ignored except me! Billabong81 0 Posted April 22, 2004 Hehe...He specifically said he needed the invisible target addon that is NOT by lester ...I'll try and find it @cero, but no luck so far
@cero 0 Posted April 22, 2004 @ bmgarcangel, thanks for the try @ Hooaman, that would be great, I'm allso looking for it. @ SelectThis, I been looking in his missions, and so far no luck. But then I thought that the targets in questions are a pbo, a addon, so it won't be in the mission pbo In all the stuff that came with Tonal, well, at list is been compressed togueder with another pbo, its nothing there. Are you sure he used invissible targets? wouldn't he been using scripts instead? I don't know. I may just make one myselfe, it can't be that difficult to make an addon of a cuple of units that can run around, be transaparent, and don't have fire points so the amunition throwed at them just gos past. The only thing is that I don't have a clue on how to do such a thing. I'll carry on looking, but if somebody comes with something, please let me know. @CERO
pang 0 Posted April 22, 2004 @cero, they come with the Tonal OPFOR pack. you´ll find them under "EMPTY/ BASIsle- Misc/ Target - ..." in the editor. //edit: path
@cero 0 Posted April 22, 2004 @cero, they come with the Tonal OPFOR pack.you´ll find them under "EMPTY/ BASIsle- Misc/ Target - ..." in the editor. //edit: path Thanks Pang, it turned up to be like Lester's. The thing is that they are in the empty objects, using them as objects works ok, but the ones I'm about are actually units without any weapons that move around, so when the AI is firing at them they not just firing at one static target, but a moving one. Thanks anyway. @CERO.
@cero 0 Posted April 22, 2004 Well, I was in mission and scripts section of this forums and I readed something that I'm going to try, instead of making them move, I'll camcreate BAS or Lestet's targets and when they had a bit of it I'll delete them by using the delete object command, in the meen time another target is being camcreated somewhere ellse and deleted, so the AI will do a nice supresing fire effect in the mission. I'll let you know how I get on with it, now I'm off to work. Thanks guys. @CERO.
bmgarcangel 0 Posted April 22, 2004 DUDe..look, just create a soldier and put all see through textures on every part and give him no gun
@cero 0 Posted April 22, 2004 Yeah, I know, but with my addon making knowledge I'll finish a full campaign before I get on how to work any of the addon editing programs so what I just said will have to be for me, but if you can do it feel free to do so and then give it to me, as a pressent, maybe a birthday one, wraped up in nice shini silver wrapping paper with a golden lace at the top I love pressents @CERO
bmgarcangel 0 Posted April 23, 2004 I'll look into it after my SKS is done
bonko the sane 2 Posted April 23, 2004 from read me:AEF Kampagne Quote[/b] ]Usage, compability :============================ Used classnames (under "EMPTY/Targets"): LesIETA - Invisible target man east LesIWTA - Invisible target man west LesIGTA - Invisible target man guerilla LesICTA - Invisible target man civil Corresponding enemy troops will fire on the first 3 objects automatically, to let them fire on the civil target, they must be given an order (e.g. by the "doFire"-command). Shots on the targets (except explosions) go through them, like they would not exist. The objects are no obstacle and you can walk though them. Normally the target stands on the ground but you can adjust the height by following command "this setpos [getpos this select 0,getpos this select 1,*height in meters*]" e.g. written in the object´s init-field, like you can see it in the example mission. Enemy troops will fight these targets before most others. It should be possible to make them move around no?
bmgarcangel 0 Posted April 23, 2004 Never gave them waypoints before...but I don't think it is unless you like spawn them...they are static objects, not men, static objects can't be given waypoints ~Bmgarcangel
