Ofp so dark!

Hey..

I'v having a annoying problem..

I dont know how I got it, but suddently when I turned ofp on a day here it was so freaking DARK..no. its NOT night, its just VERY dark.. so like on MP I moslely have to use NV googles cuz its to dark for me..

BUT if I just Open the Option, it gets normal.. and as soon I close it it gets dark again.. whats the problem ??

Increase OFPs Gamma and Brightness to your likeness that should solve it. Or change your monitors brightness as well if you want.

Work a balance between them that suits you.

think its my monitor.. cuz Call of duty GUI is the same.. but its only those 2 games though

That's very wierd...not a question I can answer...

Maybey you should check your screen resolution sizes?

Try starting almost from scratch.

BAckup and delete these two files:

\ofp\flashpoint.cfg

\ofp\users\your_player_name\userinfo.cfg

Run the Resistance preferences program, click on AUTODETECT and then on START.

Is the problem still there?

did exactly the same as u sayd.. still dark

Put everything back, starting with the video card and let us know if one of these is the culprit.

nop.. tryed to put back everything back to default.. still dark but its so weird..

1: it just happend some days ago

2: its both on OFP and CoD

3: When I open OFP its dark. BUT if I open Options it get Normal again. and as soon I close option menu it gets dark again

this is REALLY annoying... specially when I play on a dark mission in SP or MP...

-Did you get some new hardware or software? (new drivers perhaps?)

-have you tried adjusting your monitor or your graphicscard settings?

-I can think of 4 places where you are able to adjust them, they are; monitor, graphics card drivers settings, ofp ,or a third party program.

hmm think I got it after I isntalled Omega 4.4 drivers....

gonna wait for he release hes 4.5 drivers and hope its better

Hmmm IIRC Omega's often come with a bunch of different apps, any chance you installed some kind of Radeon Tweaker as well that is setting a dark profile?

Hmm I installed everything who followed:

RadLinker

MultiRes

and 1 more thing as I dont remember...

but I havent used any of them

but I have allways used to installed they..so that shouldent be an problems,.... ( i think )

Do you by any chance have a game/mod config.cpp in the same folder as a config.bin? I have seen OFP act up, to say the least.

So: check all your <modname>/bin folders and make sure you only have a config.bin (or a config.cpp, of course, but not both)

Having both seems to cause trouble.
