SpecOp9 0 Posted April 13, 2004 Funny, I had to go for my license yesterday and one of the requirements was to parallel park. Knowing how real Flashpoint is, I practiced a few times in that until I got it perfectly every time. I just placed 2 empty cars in the editor, made myself a car also and worked from there. I used GTA also Anyway, where I live (Salem Massachusetts) the state trooper (my driver tester-guy) said 95% of the people fail the test 1st time, and 5% pass the first time, I was one of those 5% yesterday! I would think Flashpoint helped me prepare for it:) Flashpoint got me my license!! (sortof) Anyway the test was easy, took about 5 minutes to the least, parallel park, 3 point turn, backing up in a straight line, and done. Good stuff. Gollum1 0 Posted April 13, 2004 I'm glad we have an age limit of 18 for driver's licences in Finland, I'd never go outside my house if most 16-year-olds I know would have driver's licenses, Jesus Christ! *shudders*
GoOB 0 Posted April 13, 2004 Hehe, I have to agree with you Gollum1. Reckless driving would get a whole new meaning But in Sweden we can start practicing for our licences at sixteen, under the supervision of an adult ofcourse. But having a licence at sixteen wouldn't be all that bad considering the insane prices on public transportation.

Besides, you can use a bicycle so you get some exercise AND save the environment. Depends on the situation, of course, but it's a viable option to buses etc.

Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted April 13, 2004 Is there a Driving-license mod of OFP out there, I mean so far I noticed that there is a mod for everything. Or what about a Trabant that simulated drunk driving (I think the flying trabant is a good starting point)
IceFire 0 Posted April 13, 2004 I don't see how OPF can help you train to parallel park. In parallel parking you need to use your mirrors. You can't do that in OPF.
m21man 0 Posted April 13, 2004 Quote[/b] ]I don't see how OPF can help you train to parallel park. Â In parallel parking you need to use your mirrors. Â You can't do that in OPF. It can't teach you how to park a car using mirrors, but it can teach you how to park a T-80 by slamming cars out of your way. OFP would also teach you weird things like "Don't look through the windshield, you won't be able to see trees!" I learned my driving skills with GTA III, so I suggest that people stay away. I simply turn entire body when I park so I have a full view of what I am doing and where I am heading!. And that even works in OFP
