What do you think about non legal ofp?

Recommended Posts

Hi, I've got question to you all.

What do you think about pirates, who don't buy oryginal Operation Flashpoint and they play with us on multiplayer?

I'd like to hear your opinion.

Operation Flashpoint is a 3 years old game so right now it`s safe to say that only die-hard fans are still playing. So if they love the game so much it would be shamefull for them not to have an original copy and do their contribution BIS

delete&edit:Just checked

Because on forum, where I'm an admin, not everybody think, that it's bad proceder...

P.S.

It's easy for mp, there aren't alot warez keys going round and you can recognize them easily in the server logs, one id with 30+ names eg, and you can filter those ids into the ban file. Actually, i have a script that does this on my server, although i don't run it too often in the last time...

I laugh, over time the copied flashpoint games deteriorate and eventually stop working. Good old BIS and Codemasters

I bought my copy as soon as it was available smile_o.gif

I am all for buying games when you like them, even old games...

But, i am not an ayatollah, i think on the pragmatic side that when a game is pirated to an extent it populates the servers and helps the spreading of its reputation, so, it has positive effects, although I wouldnt pirate the game myself and don't appreciate the mentality it takes to steal a game you're actually playing and enjoying.

In other words, i am not on the punishing side of the issue, but i do not approve of piracy.

The other "good" thing with illegal copies, if you can convince someone to give the game a try with a full copy with all the features and possibilities of the game you can hook them up to the game and have them buy it. (i have to admit i've done that already, and have friends buy a few legal copies this way)

How many years were BIS making the game before they saw a single "Koruna" for it? They deserve everything they earn from this game and any that follow.

And no discussion about such things are not allowed on the forums.
