Gadger 0 Posted March 27, 2004 W Buffer is something that lower end gpu's use, it being disabled is just because you are using a more modern graphics card.
Heatseeker 0 Posted March 27, 2004 W Buffer is something that lower end gpu's use, it being disabled is just because you are using a more modern graphics card. Â It is disabled for the newest dx9 cards so if you experience flickering textures over distance you will have to live with it (unlike this lower end's GF4ti that has the option to enable the W buffer and has no flickering OPF) . lee_h._oswald 0 Posted March 28, 2004 I want W-BUFFER BACK!!! U can see those flickering textures on farcry demo also. This can´t be the way it is wanted by the game industrie.. MfG Lee
mr burns 133 Posted March 28, 2004 I want W-BUFFER BACK!!!U can see those flickering textures on farcry demo also. This can´t be the way it is wanted by the game industrie.. MfG Lee i didn´t notice this in the full retail version, so there may be a way around them ugly flickering textures i think were rid of the problem when ofp2 arrives
lee_h._oswald 0 Posted March 28, 2004 Try the sniper rifle or binoculars and watch ppl far away. Same shit as in ofp. "Hey look how fast z-buffer is, let´s kill w-buffer completly!" I hate "ideas" like that..... MfG Lee
