wow_o.gif Awsome! I can't wait to fly that dropship. Have you thought about using the BAS cargo script for transporting the APC?

Based on the pictures I see from ofp.cz there is one small thing I have noticed wrong with the drop ship model and thats the loading ramp under the main body. The back of the ramp is supposed to come down aswell as the front to about 2 meters to get rid of the high angle so the apc can unload. BTW, can the apc be loaded into the dropship? much like the cargo crate that can be loaded into the BAS CH-47? If you need any techinical stuff aswell as tech drawings I have the colonial marine technical manual and can scan you some pages if needed.

HELL YES UR RIGHT DUDE!!

and yeah u can load and unload the apc into the dropship

transporting it need tweaking but basically works

vagabond included an internal script but different to bas

but what we need

would be any mission ideas or whishes

so that everybody likes playing it smile_o.gif

p.s. if u can´t wait flying dropship

download bastlers unfinished work there is zippyos dropship included and many other goodies

P.S some help with some scripts would be great

especially flamer (it´s just functional by now)

the apc loading script is slightly simpler than BAS's script it's automatic...put the apc on the ramp and raise the ramp...and it's done...if it doesn't work...then just reverse the APC too the back of the cargo hold....and then it works and your in cargo...and when the ramp is down and your below the certain height then the apc will automatically be ejected onto thr dropships ramp, i'll get you a nice spinny flash of the dropship now biggrin_o.gif

well unfortunetly due to the fact that internal views of the dropship are hard to come by in the movie there is no hard technical data in the CMTM apart from the cockpit. If you need a reference watch aliens again, one scene before the co-pilot is killed and the dropship crashes you can see the front of the loading ramp, the opposite wall with the door to the cockpit.

Ill get the images i have from my manual soon, my scanner needs to be hooked up, and its very hard to scan, the spine of the book cuts off part of the middle of the diagram rock.gif

You guys need info for weapons and countermeasures? I am also interested on how the dropship flys, does it only hover?

Found my roleplay book.

Some mission types for USCM:

BASE GUARD

Guarding USCM bases on Earth & colonies.

CIVIL DISORDER

Assisting local authorities to control rioting and demonstrations on Earth & Colonies. Populations controlled by Corporations sometimes revolt against their employers over bad working conditions or other problems; these revolts are frequently encouraged by rival Corporations, so they can send spies to exploit such situations to break into sealed installations unnoticed. CM are often called in to quell rioting with a minimum of bloodshed.

SECURITY

Mobile garrison duty such as escorting important equipment, officers, politicians or witnesses in legal actions.

TACTICAL TEAM

These units handle crisis situations involving pirate / terrorist attacks or sometimes covert ops against enemy corporation forces / mercenaries.

PATROL

Standard duty for a strike team, this includes routine checks of Jump Stations, Terraforming / Mining Colonies or Garrison Worlds.

PEACEKEEPING

This consists of preventing hostilefactions from annihilating each other, and requires extensive diplomacy.

CONTRABAND

Controlled substances range from drugs to weapons, technological breakthroughs to viruses, illegal cyborgs and other lifeforms. A strike team assigned to stopping contraband will find all of its abilities tested to their extremes, fighting well-trained, efficient and corporate-well-paid smugglers / mercenaries.

CORPORATE RAID / EXTRADITION

When a Corporation is found guilty of serious crimes, charges are often filed against key members of the organization. These people must be brought to trial, but extracting them from their hiding places is a very demanding job.

When the Corporation is cooperative, the mission is considered an Extradition - otherwise a raid is required.

HAZARDOUS EXPLORATION

Most of the worlds inhabited by Humanity are only partially explored, and the countless worlds which do not have even the simplest settlements are even more mysterious. When the unknown presents a danger to Humanity's expansion and development, CM are the first to investigate.

COLONIAL RESCUE / HOSTAGE RESCUE

When the dangers of a world threaten the Colonists, the CM are called in to the rescue, same goes if Colonists are held hostage by criminal elements.

RENEGADE MILITARY

When a Corporation or Mercenary Force gets too dangerous to the common good, it is declared a Renegade by its superiors. The CM are used to capture or destroy these groups.

...I dunno - scramjets, companies richer than small countries, the new space race for resources (Helium 3). We've gotta be stumbling into that xeno nest sometime soon.

Ah well, just as long as we avoid that HORRIBLE PLANET OF THE APES! wink_o.gif
