USMC Sniper 0 Posted March 3, 2004 Last weekend I had some problems with my video card (the settings were changed, possibly by a hacker), and then after I got a friend to fix it, I had some serious problems. The computer would freeze always, either in the windows startup screen (when windows is loading), or if I got in, if I went on the internet while listening to music or other things like that. It was suggested to me it might be a hardware conflict, but how could I check for something like that? Also, I fixed the frequent freezing, but now it still freezes, again when I was listening to music while using the internet. Does anyone have an idea what could cause this stuff? JAP 2 Posted March 3, 2004 Maybe the soundcard is in conflict with your networkcard/modem, check in hardware settings if they have matching IRQ's or something. Otherwise, if you have WinXP delete both devices and reinstall them. Hope this helps
Placebo 12 Posted March 3, 2004 Do you have the latest drivers for all your hardware? Motherboard Bios? Microsoft updates? Etc. etc.
