I dont know what I must think but at one side: Guns are more for sissy's and are no good are they? When there where the dark ages and only swords...That was combat HAND TO HAND or SWORD TO SWORD.... Nothing makes the man, the man just "is". The time when men were supposed to go around and bash stuff to get women is long gone. No, the gun doesn't make the man. As a frequent visitor of my shooting range i get to see a lot of people. some bring their own shiny new toy and has smile as big as Joker's. some bring cheapo Jennings. would that might reflect the person's personality? problably, but not by much. many n00bs in shooting world know little about guns and go for famous or shiny ones. That is representation of lack of broader knowledge regarding the issue. now did they get it because it reflects personality? maybe a bit, but i don't think so. now does having a weapon alter people's position? maybe. by holding the tool of destruction, i know that i have bigger responsibility. on the other hand, those who are irresponsible before getting a gun tend to be irresponsible with guns too. so my answer would be that the effect of weapons on a person's mind is only small, if there is one.
