KDog35 0 Posted February 11, 2004 I was just wondering if there are any servers that allow 56k/high pingers to play online? Along with how fast updates, and addons come out now. I'm guessing some of us wish for a "common" server to play on without all the addons. Don't tell me you wouldn't have any fun without the addons,.. skill would still apply. Every server is specialized and now it's very difficult to even get in a game. A year ago, I was accepted on most servers to play, now none. Yes, I know ..I can't afford $50 a month for a faster connection. Anyway, I'm sure I'm speaking for a few of us here and mainly all the new 56k people wishing to play OFP online. sorry for the mixed message here. Done crying. Now there's a new update for the WG pack ...it just doesn't stop. I'm sure there's 1.96 coming shortly. I'm tired of trying to keep up. Too much crap is always changing. noundo 0 Posted February 13, 2004 Yeah, I need to get a satellite connection . I've looked into Satelite. Not really an option for gamers. MINIMUM ping time is going to be 500ms, and thats just from your 'puter to the Sat service ground station before it hits the internet. Plus it's WAY expensive - $400.00 USD for equipment plus $70.00 USD/month for service with a Byte count limit for DLing. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Makes two of us Except I download mine during the day and was playing until 6:30am the next day Everytime I try to download the 2nd patch it cocks up though and I get a CTD starting the second mission of the campaign Feel free to email me the patch anyone... *cough*[email protected]*cough* Edit: Working on FDF1.2 patch right now, dont no how I managed to get 1.1 without getright Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
