Now that be a cool MP mission wink_o.gif just like the movie!

If any one actully considerd this a good way to get round the zulus useing close combat could be to get in touch with zombie mod!

Wah-hey! Those highlanders are the 92nd Regiment of Foot

Gordon Highlanders. My old regiment! Is there a way you

could  make the kilts look a bit better, though? A kilt has an

apron at the front - it's an important structural feature of the

garment. These guys look like they are wearing some kind

of "culottes".

Apart from that, these are all very nice looking units. I applaud

you for giving this a go.

it appears that in the napoleonic war highlander unit didn't wore the apron because it is too expensive and the soldier could lose this item in the battle. but maybe i am wraong i am not an old gordon's chap smile_o.gif

Very nice !!! Lots of units, historically accurate, some little prob easy to correct (such as prob with hat and head, as higlander). I recognize a few things i've done,  wink_o.gif  well implemented (by the way, i've slightly modified the waggon to put the driver IN the waggon, i'll send it to you if you want). I recognize Gavin's french lineman, who should have the same riffle as the others (because of number of shots possible). I see you're working on cavalry men, i could help you with a sword attack on horses (or on the ground for officers) if you make a french cuirassier  tounge_o.gif . Remember Waterloo with french cuirassiers charging british infantry squares.

yep i begining the cavalery unit of several country but i am very interrested in a sword attack, i want to make the british sergeant with their pike and i need a pike attack too

the french cuirassier is very nice but hard for me to do, i have to do the line troop before the elite unit.

for any bug please send to me a list, i'll correct them

the files mnflags2 and mncanon are way smaller, is that supposed to be?

edit: bug: sword is untexturrd in the first person view (some other weapons had that bug too if i am right, though i don'T remember which)

no blood textures (but that's only minor)

Yes, because they've been cleaned up and compressed.

About sword, corrected file's been sent to tsala, maybe he could include it in the rar file (pilot lod texture path problem).

IMPORTANT NOTICE :

- now canons do have a crew of 4 units : you'll find canons with crew under "groups" in the editor, just put the

"group" on the map (you'll only see a group of 4 men, but when you "preview" your mission, a script automatically

creates a canon with its crew in it).

- sword or pike are fully usable by the player AND the AI without script, thanks to an improvement of the "strike gun"

ability.

So are those missing textures meant to be there? And also, I didn't find any fireable cannons, just the limbered ones. And last but not least, they have the Springfield 1861? crazy_o.gif

Other than that, nice job. But installing it was a hell of a job... That's not bad though, just because you weren't around when the Napoleonic Mod had the only historical guys doesn't mean you shouldn't suffer tounge_o.gif

@ dynamite cow : well, about canons, just READ the readme...To have canons with servants in it, use groups : put artillery group on the map, that's all, even if you don't see any canon on the editor's map, when you "preview" you'll see canons with 4 guys in it. Two reasons for that : it prevents guys from going out of the canon all the time when one of them is dead (as the cwmod one) ; it's not possible to have a canon with 4 guys in it in the unit menu.

About missing textures, duno what you're talking about : the sword has been modified and reincluded in the rar file (Just read previous posts).

The solution is this setunitpos "UP"

As they go prone (which is the same anim as the standing one) when they see the enemy. But when they are forced to stand, man, you might get great swordfights.

With missing textures I mean some parts of the units which seem to be untextured. Like the Russians' backpacks for example.

I guess that was the problem for the cannons, I didn't try it properly with the AI. As with the player, it only gives a limbered cannon that you can drive around.
