Game Cat 0 Posted January 17, 2004 It's in (Hansestadt) Lübeck, Germany. Too bad I couldn't take any good photos of the church itself, [...] Here's a link to some pictures of Lübeck taken by photographer Thomas Radbruch. Lots of churches in there, among them St. Mary's. http://www.luebeck.de/tourismus_freizeit/galerie/raum-1.html
mr burns 132 Posted January 20, 2004 just had to raise my hand for the Dome of Cologne. what can beat >600 yrs of building time ? the acoustic in it is great....you can hear whispered words across a distance of 100 m w/o problems if youre standing right. also, the inside is even bigger than it may look from the outside....surprises me everytime when i go in there (which is not often) overall a very impressive building mer losse d´r dom en kölle.... Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted January 20, 2004 Okay, since this thread somewhat changed directions to monuments I thought I make some pictures since I just came from a trip to Berlin. The Brandenburg gate (on the left a US tourist, wanting a snowfight  ) The Kanzleramt, this is the office of our Cancellor (with a little appartment for him). MY FUTURE WORKPLACE! yeah sure The Reichstag, this where the big discussions are taking place. I tried to make a snowman but I think I was kind of over-enthusiastic. Got kind of heavy! We are drowning in taxes, unempoyment rates, recession. If this thing helps? In the back you can see that the Parliament is surrounded by many other offices and lies next to a beautiful river which is full of small boats during the summer. Protection is always low around here and I like it that way! And for the ones being as childish as I am 2 more images! (aehm? The navigation thing tells me to ram into the Branderburg gate? Kind of strange!) YOu can clearly see "unter den Linden" as current location which is already in Front of the gate and then "continue 800m straigt forward"!  See here
