CrunchyFrog 0 Posted December 23, 2003 In the HK pack 2, the G8 could be loaded with a clip, box magazine and a belt, all in same weapon. And changed model when the different magazines where loaded. How its done, i dunno... But, it would be great for your pack, then the rifles could be loaded with the different magazines (plastic, metal and c-mag) instead, would be really great for the LSW so it could change between a clip and c-mags
GoOB 0 Posted December 23, 2003 I think it's done with .modelspecial or hidden selections or something like that. Not sure at all though.
Matthijs 40 Posted December 23, 2003 Quote[/b] ]I can't seem to find the ammo crates ((pls don't flame me cause i didn't read the readme No offense, but please take the time to open the readme or the PDF manual. I didn't take all that time to explain things, only to repeat them on these forums. Quote[/b] ]Thnx, i thought they were with JAM ammo :? JAM is optional. Choose "custom install" and select "JAM compatability". Quote[/b] ]Great work!btw, where to get those Sander's Jagers? On mods,kmarns.net... just not now. It will take some time for me to improve the models, and for Sander to finish the skins. (As you all probably know, skinning is the hard part) If Sander agrees, we'll also release a new international soldier model based on these. Quote[/b] ]By the way, this pack is amazing, if not just a little over the top in variations on one weapon! A bit over the top, I agree. But I want to prevent people from requesting to use the models, to create their own versions. This way, there's only 1 set of P3D files, with several configurations attached. For v2.1 I'm not only considering a small expansion (AG36 and maybe ACOG optics), but also backwards-compatability features. Installing the compatability features would update any older versions. I'll contact Op. Northstar to ask if they can live with an overwriting patch for their Diemaco's.

ericz 0 Posted December 25, 2003 Good line up of weapons but I can't seem to find the CASES. I keep getting a message that says I dont have resistance installed and therefore some objects are not going to be installed. I am running 1.94 so I know that;s not the problem, I even tried it in 1.91 and still same problem. The installer is only installing one pbo file (weapons file) I am not to computer literate so I dont know how else to extract the other pbo. please let me know. Matthijs 40 Posted December 25, 2003 Good line up of weapons but I can't seem to find the CASES.I keep getting a message that says I dont have resistance installed and therefore some objects are not going to be installed. Â I am running 1.94 so I know that;s not the problem, I even tried it in 1.91 and still same problem. Â The installer is only installing one pbo file (weapons file) I am not to computer literate so I dont know how else to extract the other pbo. please let me know. The installer checks to see if the following key exists: Quote[/b] ]Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Codemasters\Flashpoint Resistance] "MAIN"="D:\\GAMES\\OperationFlashpoint" In which case, "D:\\GAMES\\OperationFlashpoint" is where I have Resistance installed. Edit these values and import in your registry, and all should work. If not, try reinstalling Resistance. A ZIP version of the pack without installer should be available in one or two days. (you can always ask someone here to mail you the kmmdiemcase.pbo and kmmjamdiemcase.pbo) Merry Xmas everyone!
Crowley 0 Posted December 26, 2003 I think it needs to have the "KEY" entry as well.
Matthijs 40 Posted December 26, 2003 I think it needs to have the "KEY" entry as well. No. It'll install the add-on for Resistance, even without the KEY entry. --- The Diemaco series v2.0 is now available as a ZIP archive, without the autmated installer. This version has been created for expert users, who want to use the PBO files in their add-on packs, without installing the complete add-on. This version offers NO extra features, and is intended for expert users only. [ click here to download ]
mads bahrt 0 Posted December 27, 2003 The installer didn't work properly on my computer. Some of the files mentioned didn't get installed. It might be because I am using the GOTY edition. Grabbing the zip version....

Not sure at all though. The HKG8 uses a .modelspecial associated with the different magazines. It is possible to tweak the kmmdiemaco cpp to get the same effect BUT at the cost of using specific magazines for each flavour of weapon, so the rest of the model looks okay. Since the LSW mags are specific to that weapon, and you're unlikely to be using LSWs with different sights in a squad, its probably do-able. For the rifles, I guess you could say the same thing, but its more iffy - and you can forget picking up ammo from a c7 with elcan sights and using it with an sfw. And JAM goes straight out the window... Unless anyone knows different, of course
alcazar 0 Posted December 27, 2003 Are the M95, M96, LOAW and LSV international versions any different to the C7, C8 and LSW? I had a quick look, but couldn't notice any differences on the LSW/LOAW/LSV.
SNIPER_SKULL 0 Posted December 27, 2003 what are the polys on the C7 in 0.000 and View-Pilot LOD
Drill Sergeant 0 Posted December 27, 2003 Isn't that supposed to be a classified question? Still Anything up to around 5,500 will not lag if done correctly in the texture layout..
SNIPER_SKULL 0 Posted December 27, 2003 if you make it 5.500 polys in 0.000 LOD and in View-Pilot LOD it is going to lag bad if you got like 20 weapons on the map

Matthijs 40 Posted December 27, 2003 Wow, lots of feedback. Thanks! Â Install problems: Could anyone having problems help me out to improve the pack? Send me an export of the following key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Codemasters please remove your "KEY" entry/entries from the export. It's your OFP license key(s). International versions All international versions are identical to the the normal Diemaco variants. They have been added for use by creators of Danish and Dutch add-ons. In the next version, all Danish designations will be changed into M/xx. The LSV will be changed into M/04, as that is what will be it's designation. (it will enter service in 2004) LODs The poly count for the highest resolution is somewhere between 500 and 1000 faces for all weapons. For 1st person, it's somewheren between 600 and 1200 faces. The C7 has the lowest poly count. The SFSW has the highest poly count. Resolutions are balanced, relative to the original M4, M16, AK47, AK74 and Strela models. It's not very obvious, but if you pay attention, you can see the weapon switch LODs quite early as soon as you move away a few meters. I did worry a bit about the pilot LOD, but it seems to work just fine. Modelspecial The modelspecial might be a nice option. Of course, the JAM versions would not show these features, but I'll look at the possibilities for v2.1 Thanks everyone!
