madmedic 0 Posted November 9, 2003 Got some cool pics, but dont have time to upload all of them at the moment. So....for now, here is an A1 Sky Raider: I will put some more up later
cam0flage 0 Posted November 9, 2003 Hah, that A-1 certainly has an interesting name. I'm sure most of the native English speakers on this forum recognize that fanny has different meaning in British and American english. This is what I learned on a lecture about the taboo vocabulary in English last week Moving on to a more subject that is more on topic: Has that Skyraider been renovated a lot? The paint looks surprisingly fresh. Well, it's a museum item but anyway ...
Milkman 1 Posted November 9, 2003 It looks like it is in flyable condition. Very nice aircraft.
ozanzac 0 Posted November 10, 2003 That is in very good condition. Hey, that sandy came from the same squadron as Tigersharks and Ebud's reskin. It'd be great if Footmunch could incorporate folding wings into his Skyraider, as does the one in the pic. What other warbirds were present? Can't wait to see more. madmedic 0 Posted November 10, 2003 Hell yes! it flies (ALL OF THE PLANES AT THE SHOW FLEW)....The Skyraider went up about two hours after I took that picture. Made mock bombing runs on the airfield. Here it is after making a run: And THIS plane needs no introduction...It also made straffing runs on the airfield: F117: This F15 was EXTREMELY impressive...It came blasting in out of the North, low, and FAST!...and it performed some AMAZING aerobatics. It made several high speed, sharp turns and loops...without leaving the airspace over the runway (which is a runway so small the fighter jets could not land on it). B17: Liberator: A10: AC-47 Gunship "Spooky", or "PUFF"...(I have a pic of her guns also, but I forgot to upload it from my camera): AWACS: Viet Nam era C 124: I have some more pics (and MUCH bigger versions of these ones, with more detail...will try to post links later. ozanzac 0 Posted November 10, 2003 Looks like a spoke a minute too soon. Great Shots. Any dogfights, or did that all come to a halt in the US. (After those Corsairs came down) Good work Madmedic.
Jester983 0 Posted November 10, 2003 Wow. that looks like fun. I wish we had more air shows down here. We used to have some stuff at El Torro but that got shut down (thank you very much mr. clinton) Nice pictures. I would love to see some more.
