This thread is dedicated to The Forgotten War: Conflict in Korea modification.

Have any ideas for our mod? advice? want to encourage us on through to victory? post it here my friends!

I do have some news right now though. Our m1919a6 30 caliber browning machine gun is going great ( just in case you don't know, the A6 is the version of the 30cal with a bipod at the end of it instead of a tripod under it, so its more easily transported and used than the A4) We are planning to make animations for it which will be the following:

When in careless and safe mode, the 30cal will remain on the shoulder of its owner, even when you lay down.

When in Aware and combat mode, the 30cal. will also remain on your shoulder, but when you go to lay down, the owner will take the weapon off his shoulder and put it in front of him, and then hell be able to fire.

This weapon will be our first in many weapons. But we need the communities help in getting the job done. If you are interested, please contact me via pm or email address. One more thing, i'm just curious if any of you guys know anything about the korean war

Oh ya, I need someone to texture them for me.

Now, to another concern in the mod.  We need someone who can build a custom PHP website for us.  We have the host, we just need the site now.

heres a big request. Marine and Army troops in winter uniforms covered with snow and mud and new faces with bloodshot eyes and dead expressions and long beards. Many new buildings to put in maps and... make it all look good ;)

but anyways im just being a jerk, but really some snow uniforms would be awesome, and please dont use the OFP soldier model as a base, its so ugly, do like inv44 is doing. Look at jojimbo's soldiers arms, they arent the same size of the legs. so on and so on. Oh yeah btw i know a good bit about the korean war and I'm glad you all are doing this.

HMmmm.......dude, do ya got a good example soldier I can use to work on the 30cal.?

cause we won't have any of our own soldiers for a little while

i think the only one with a decent soldier model has to be jojimbo try asking him + the base ofp soldier runs lika a spaz try makin for example when they run thru water to hold their gun chest hight(holding the barrel and stock) but just please don't use the base model cos they are all the same but with different faces and skin colours (shouldn't the americans be taller than the koreans???) cos korea woz a 3rd world i think

plus ask your m8 nomis (simonpro) to txture the MGUN cos ain't he the lead addon maker??? was on the old web sight

Well. Simon needs to be replaced ( he will still be in mod, but we need a different addon leader )

I'm currently in need of temporary service from someone who can make good weapon sounds, reloading and firing, for my 30caliber machine gun.

i'm not sure if jojimbo uses the forums tho it seems highly likely because i have seen the mod in numerous sites ie ofp.inf ofpec atwar.com and ofp base. p.s i'm not sure he would gladly give u his model specially th summer version because that is a good soldier oh and that 30cal is cool keep up the good work

Work on the Pusan Line map has begun. We will include in this map trenches and other buildings. I plan to make it so these buildings will blend in with certian parts of the terrian on the Pusan line map.

Here's some updated news from our mod:

MaddogX is working on a M-24 Chaffee tank and I expect to have pictures very soon, once I do I will share with all you fine people

The 30cal's that ive been working on are bassically done, we just need to slap some textures on them as soon as we get someone who can texture them.

Now as soon as Tactical Blunder is back up I will be posting a few shots of my most recent work

Yes we will include the canadians. Seeing though as they where intermixed with the British and US companys then it won't be hard.

We're not at the Kapyong valley yet. First is first:

Hey folks

I'm thinking about stopping this mod and packing the work i've done with it and joining another mod.  Sadly, no one cares about this mod, at least not enough people.  Without support from the community we can't go on.  Without people we can't go on.  

Sadly since i'm the only member in the mod who is really working on some addons, the 30cals and the three buildings that i've made, I really haven't seen much other work from anyone else at all. Its like everyone else is more concerned about doing other things then the mod. People in our mod say they have time but then they don't. Then they dont have time for anything at all. Its hard to keep track of my members in the mod now a days too. Its one of the most frustrating things in the world for me, and has been driving me nuts. So, i'm affraid I might stop it.  Not sure yet.

Its tough isn't it, no one helps, why you think I am ok at most all aspects of making an addon,cause I had to do it myself.

And to plan a total mod is a large project, would be easier to concentrate on a good addon or two and see if you can complete that

Well I am not that familiar with the Korean War, so I am not sure what your mod entails.

Maybe a description (theme) with some planned addons ,units and missions I might get excited,but I dunno what I am awaiting on this mod.I assume some carriers and jets and such,dunno

Addons excite me,I like vehicles, I know most will say that missions are important,but my thoughts are this....

Nice missions are great ! Anyone with OFP has the capabilities to make missions.But if we didnt get any missions, people should make their own (who does tho,its easier to complain that nobody makes missions)

OFP was intended to make your own missions.

I would like to know what addons to expect,I see some bunkers and weapons but I can't drive those very well!

Of course nice missions to go with it always helps keep the mission hunters happy but I am curious as to what addons to expect,and if they are desired addons,you will have support and help

Well, you'd be surprised.  I have a large list of weapons going and a list of different tanks on the role.  Willy jeeps, Chaffee tanks, Pershing tanks, M46 tanks, T34/85 North Korean tanks, perhaps one or two portable mortars for the wonderful Chinese (china has been generous), soldiers from more than three countries, weapons, buildings, bunkers, many a islands, and since I'm a wonderful cut scene maker and mission builder I won't have many problems with that (p.s. going to post soon the intro to operation flashpoint for people to watch and get a glimpse at my new personal campaign I'm building).

So far though what we do have.  3 buildings (2 sandbag fortifications and 1 bunker, there will be two versions of each building we make, one winter, one non-winter) and then I have the marvelous Browning m1919a4 30 Caliber Machine on tripod and a browning m1919a6 30 caliber machine gun that still needs to have some textures.  I plan with the a4 to make a version without being on a tripod and a guy carries around the tripod, sets it down, guy with 30cal walks to tripod, and via action menu, sets the 30cal on tripod, then it changes to static version.  I need someone to texture the 30 caliber machine guns though.

We will also in the end run have around 4 campaigns, each spanning the different years of the Korean War: 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953

We will also have a mod folder where all our add-ons will be placed (and our campaigns) and we will have a custom-built menu system for the game (need help on that though)

Now later I will post a list of most the weapons we will be using in our mod.
