"Kimme und Korn" also is not the name of the whole sights of a rifle. Kimme is the name of the rear sights and Korn is the name of the front sights, which usually are located on the "deadly" end of the barrel. Kimme is associated with the tangent rear sights, not with diopter sights. I think it might be too generic.If I'm correct, "viseur" is used for any aiming device. I want to denote the fact that there is no optical sight. Here's what I need it for: C7 : Â the M16 style weapon with integral iron sight C7A1 (Aimpoint) : flat top with Aimpoint red dot C7A1 (Elcan) : flat top with Aimpoint red dot C7A1 (Iron sight) : flat top with iron sights The first 3 versions are no problem, they don't require any translation. But I don't know how to handle the last version. In Dutch it's quite simple: "ijzeren richtmiddellen" Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

bonko the sane 2 Posted October 30, 2003 in portuguese its " mira " got no clue in spanish though...probably its the same or very similar...but then again u never know whats going on in a spaniards mind   LOL EDIT: its the same in spanish....mira (sight) maybe theres a really technical term for iron = hierro sight = mira....dunno, maybe like mira de hierro...but that just doesnt sound right Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
