Macs are great for people who are afraid of computers and just want something that "works". I just wanted to warn people that I-Tunes might make some funny changes to your sound setttngs. Yes Apple is part of the Maoist-Elvis Industrial complex, and currently the war between them and the Pax Suomi Hextaverates' Linux is brewing up. I was able to find the registry key that controls this, and copy the values over from my wife's windows XP machine. All of the most important entries are common between win2k and winXP, so I was able to get my CD rom drives to appear under the catagory "DVD/CD-ROM Drives", and have the proper icon. The registry key affected was this one, which is common between Win2k and WinXP: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
