Rudedog 0 Posted October 6, 2003 JAM Russian Federation Special Forces Pack Addon ver. 1.2 by Rudedog for Russian Federation Special Forces Pack ver. 1.00 by Laser The archive contains: - readme text document - LSR2JAM.pbo - JAM_Magazines.pbo and JAM_Sounds.pbo (version 2) - one demo mission NOTE: this addon requires OFP: Resistance 1.85 or higher (tested oÂn 1.85 and 1.91 versions) and Laser's Russian Federation Special Forces Pack ver. 1.00. This Addon adds: - Adds JAM compatibility to Laser's Unit's and Weapons in standard and High Dispersion Variants. - Adds JAM compatible West/East Crew and Pilots. NOTES oÂn THE ADDON I've tried to keep compatability with Laser's original magazines when possible, but there are a few that I had to change. Â LEGAL STUFF (Thanks to...) - Laser - Kegetys - RUSniper - UceE aka Jussi Soini (textures) - Mailman (model elements and textures) - Red Storm Entertainment (textures and sounds) - BIS for producing OFP Changes: v1.2 - Added threat values so units can be correctly targeted by enemy air and ground vehicles - Updated Spetznatz camo value to make them equal to JAM Spetznatz. - Added ability to deactivate mines and hide bodies like original BIS Spetznatz - Spetznatz will now be identified as such. v1.1 - Added updated eventhandlers for smokeshells and Launchers - Updated magazines for Grenade Launchers. Â They now can use JAM flares and marker grenades and rounds etc - Updated the demo mission to have all JAM units oÂn EAST and WEST 1.0a - Fixes no entry for Medic - Fixed Naval RTO not having any ammo Download LSR2JAM 1.2 with JAM 8.6 mb Download LSR2JAM 1.2 1.37 mb Please report bugs to this thread. bonko the sane 2 Posted October 6, 2003 Great! Before I dload: Is this JAM2 or JAM1?
Rudedog 0 Posted October 6, 2003 It's JAM2. Though it is compatible with both versions. Â JAM is included per BAS' wishes to have it included in any JAM addon. Â Otherwise, the addon itself is only 79k. Rudedog

One 0 Posted October 6, 2003 so you dont even have to install the jam files if you just dled the new Tonal island that came with JAM2, right?
Rudedog 0 Posted October 6, 2003 so you dont even have to install the jam files if you just dled the new Tonal island that came with JAM2, right? Nope, they are just included as a formality.
theavonlady 2 Posted October 6, 2003 LSR's addon originally consisted of 3 addons. Does this one single PBO in your rendition replace all 3? If so, should the old PBOs be deleted in case of conflicts?
One 0 Posted October 6, 2003 no no no the only new addon is 70 something KB, it needs the models and textures from the old pbo's. all it is here is a patch that changes things in the cpp im guessing..... but lets say if i made some cpp changes on some other addons to use lasers weapons, but now i want the addons to use the same weapons but now with jam mags, what should i change in the cpp's? bonko the sane 2 Posted October 6, 2003 Excellent work, these are my all time favorite russian units and weapons  Txs a lot I did find a bug, dunno if its 'cos im running GMR_exploMod, Kylliki's Sound Pack or a conflict with another addon. But i run BAS JAM units with all these Mods so I dont think thats the cause, dunno really... In editor if i try to preview any group with a medic I get this: <table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">no entry 'config.cpp/CfgVehicles.LSR_jhdgru_medic'. Rudedog 0 Posted October 6, 2003 AVON: No, this is and "Addon" to an "Addon". As stated in the first post, it requires Lasers's SF pack to work. ONE: You are correct. Quote[/b] ]but lets say if i made some cpp changes on some other addons to use lasers weapons, but now i want the addons to use the same weapons but now with jam mags, what should i change in the cpp's? Instead of giving the unit the weapons from Laser's pack, call the ones from LSR2JAM. All the weapons and mags are listed in the readme.
Rudedog 0 Posted October 6, 2003 In editor if i try to preview any group with a medic I get this:<table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0"><tr><td>Code Sample </td></tr><tr><td id="CODE">no entry 'config.cpp/CfgVehicles.LSR_jhdgru_medic'. Here is the fix for that. I updated the original file, plus i've created a zip with just the pbo in it for those of you who don't want to redownload the whole thing. Â It also fixes the Naval Radio Ops not having ammo. Funny, the addon zipped without the JAM pbo's is only 8k Download 1.0a fix file here
Gollum1 0 Posted October 6, 2003 @Bonko: I run OFP with Hisky, Kyllikki Sound Pack and the newest GMR explo mod and the units work fine for me, must be something else. I actually hadn´t played the Marines mission before, it was a very good mission, made even better by the JAM compatibility. The intro vid didn´t run though, "missing addon Jam-magazines" Too bad that you had next to no AT weapons, and American crew used non-JAM weapons (oh the horror ) Anyway, we slaughtered the Americans. Thanks a lot for this addon.

Rudedog 0 Posted October 7, 2003 for the hd groups how come the officers dont have hd weapons? I double checked 'em, they all seem to be in order. Can anyone else confirm this?
ruff 102 Posted October 7, 2003 its on all the spetsnaz hd groups all the units say hd except the officer and once u play the officer in the editor his mags dont say hd its only on the officer of the spetnaz group i think i know now wats wrong in the cpp u probably gave the wrong name in the group for the hd spetsnaz officer in the editor it says officer hd b4 u preview it but once u preview it it gives u the non hd officer but if u select a single unit without a group unit spetnaz gru officer hd it will be hd i thinks its the grouping dude check the grouping in the cpp

Also, regarding the mission, please change the briefing name to something like "Marines (JAM)" so that we can distinguish it from the original when listing the missions. Also, any plans for converting the 2nd mission that came with the original pack?

Sorry, I had a busy night, I'm also a musician and need to keep my skills up with the bandmates. Â I'll take care of this today in my spare time. Quote[/b] ]Also, any plans for converting the 2nd mission that came with the original pack? Yes, I just rushed the pack out the door. Â I wanted all these people to have more to play with since BAS released there Island, OpFor pack and JAM2. With the addition of this, it should keep them busy awhile. Â I've also created one for Inquisitor's High Detail Weapon pack, but I am just waiting for permission from him. He's been AWOL for awhile according to some posts on the forums.
