Placebo 29 Posted September 26, 2003 Codemasters will replace CD's for a nominal fee, that is the best option available to you.
Major Fubar 0 Posted September 27, 2003 I notice a large number of video libraries and music stores now offer a service to mend scratched discs (CDs, DVDs). This may be a quicker option, but I can't say for 100% if it would work in your case...
BraTTy 0 Posted September 27, 2003 I've repaired many cd's and if there are scratches on the backing (the top side) thats actually unrepairable.Scratches on the cd surface most always eventually can be buffed out. I have a "Game Doctor" that is a unit sold widely that repairs cds/dvds and the like
ruff 102 Posted September 27, 2003 my cd only contains 3 permanent scratches and it seems that i beliewve it might not be the cd since i reinstalled the beta patch and run it without the cd and it still has the blurry bitsa and ive just recognised its not the actualingame evironment its just the writing eg. mission editor , single mission , any sort of writing is blurry does n e 1 have this i had this before it never stayed for this long
Placebo 29 Posted September 27, 2003 It look like this? Why do OFP's text, crosshairs or other objects look blurry?
nyles 11 Posted September 27, 2003 OFP costs just around 15,- EUR nowadays. I guess this will be as expensive as sending in the disc to Codemasters, including their fee, postal fee and postal return fee.
R. Gerschwarzenge 0 Posted September 27, 2003 If you have a GeForce card and Detonator 50.xx drivers installed then that is probably the problem. I've heard that they reduce image quality alot.
