BBSmith 0 Posted September 20, 2003 Version: 1.92 Has it worked in 1.91 and below: No Do I have fully Updated Video Card Drivers: Yes Has it worked before I incorperated the Invasion44 AddOns: Yes I would Like to play in my favorite server that requires alotta WWII addons (Invasion44), and I guess it was supposed to change my main menu, well now, I just hear the music and the little clicks of my mouse occasionaly going over an icon off of the main menu. NOTE: I have already minimized then reopened, no luck what so ever.! The screen is COMPLETLY Greenish, and yellowish. Dont start with video card drivers, theyve been updated, and working fully, and yes going back to an eariler date for my drivers still has the same problem for this. ----------------- The addon pack was just a bunch of PBO files and non a non application, but it said put all of these files into your addons folder. Well, If there is any simple way to fix this, (the simplest way) Its glady Appreacted.!!!
zinco 0 Posted September 20, 2003 I would be willing to bet it is a video card setting. like digital vibrance or somthing. check your gamma settings in game and out.
Sole 0 Posted September 20, 2003 Do you have a fairly new video card? If so, it could be the addon memory mapping 'bug'. The final version of 1.92 should resolve this problem [edit] A simple way to fix it, if you have the addon memory mapping bug, is to remove all custom add-ons.. BBSmith 0 Posted September 20, 2003 Quote[/b] ]The final version of 1.92 should resolve this problem It did the same thing on Version 1.91, and 1.85 I have 1.92, and every MOD makes the game look this way. But the server that i always play in, requires this mod! I cant go into the in game properties, and check gamma, I cant even see the main menu! What can i do?? EDIT: Â Yes, I do have a new vid card. System: Alienware (2 months old) GHZ: 3.06 Processor: Pent 4 RAM: 1024DDR Ram VIDEO CARD: Radeon 9000m 128mb

MrLaggy 0 Posted September 21, 2003 Yeah, try cutting the AGP aperture down to 32MB if it's currently set to a higher number: that's the only thing that worked for me.
BBSmith 0 Posted September 21, 2003 Can someone give me directions on how to get to the AGP Number down. How can i get into BIOS? Where in BIOS is the AGP Area. If I Change this, will it screw up my computer? What is worst case senario if it does?
Placebo 31 Posted September 21, 2003 >How can i get into BIOS? In the post screen (the screen you see when you first boot your computer) you press a key to go into setup, often delete, or F1 or something like that, it will say on the screen what key it is but be quick to spot it. >Where in BIOS is the AGP Area. Changes from motherboard to motherboard, best bet is to just look everywhere for it >If I Change this, will it screw up my computer? No. >What is worst case senario if it does? Worst case is that some games may not work as well as they would with a higher AGP setting, but then why would you want to play any other games? ;)
zinco 0 Posted September 22, 2003 I meant the graphics settings on windows not in game. control panel/ display/ settings/ advanced/ and all in that area....look around.
BBSmith 0 Posted September 23, 2003 Under General Tab: 1. DPI Setting- 96 DPI 2. Compatibility- Apply New Display settings without Restarting. Heres a pic or 2 about some more settings: This Image Wont Fit, So heres a link instead: www.geocities.com/coldkilla9/OpenGL.JPG AGP: My Vid was at 128mb I changed it to 64mb. The Choices were: 256 128 (Default) 64 32 16 (Maybe another, I forget) ----- I am downloading the files that didnt work before, I will update after theyre downlloaded and tried. BBSmith 0 Posted September 23, 2003 I Have Just fixed Flashpoint Through AGP Settings, From 128mb to 64mb, and that allowed flashpoint to work. I played a few online games last night, but just today... The Game Shuts down While Online after about 5 minutes. 256 AGP Dont work, 128 Dont. 64mb Does. Obviously Im not OverClocking My System, more like underclocking. ---------------- Specs: Alienware 3.06Ghz Pent 4 Windows XP Home 1024DDR ram 40.1GB HD: 12Gb Free Video Card: Radeon 9000m (100% UPGRADED) ----------------- Changes Since last night (when it worked) and Today (When it didnt work)------none 520mb Addons (Required Amount, Always worked) Could It be a Sertain server requiring a certain addon? But it never gave me an error in the 1st place!
Placebo 31 Posted September 24, 2003 Does single play work fine? Have you tried 32mb aperture?
BBSmith 0 Posted September 24, 2003 Single Play works wonders.. Im thinking it might be a stray addon for a Multiplayer server, I just downloaded KaRRiLLioN's Server addon requirments I havnt tried playing online alone for a certain amount of time yet, but I will try 32mb AGP, and Multiplayer to check and make sure its ether just online not working, or the game/or the addons I need. Placebo 31 Posted September 24, 2003 Worth removing those new addons and trying online play, addons are wonderful but they do have a habit of seriously messing up Opf if there is anything slightly wrong with one of them
MASTAKILLA 0 Posted September 24, 2003 you own an alienware so you should get support  for your hardware maybe the alienware hotline knows something about this problem
BBSmith 0 Posted September 24, 2003 Well, I just experimented... It is the server, I just made a quick multiplayer Server for myself, No crashes. I still gotta try 32mb. Does lowering AGP Slow Game Preformance?
Placebo 31 Posted September 24, 2003 Well if it stops you getting CTD's surely that's improving performance?
BBSmith 0 Posted September 25, 2003 Multiplayer, (My own server) Works. Single Player Works. The Another Persons Online Server (That is Dedicated) DONT WORK After about 5 minutes. I went from 128 to 64mb that worked. 64mb to 256 Dont work 64 To 32 Dont work. The ONLINE Dedicated Server has nothing I dont have, There server has a website, and I redownloaded everything there, It still crashes. I KNOW i have all the addons required, So it cant be that, and no one else crashes to the desktop after I do.
