Multi turret script!

We of Operation Scifi have succeeded in making the Multiple Turret script work! As proof we send you a short .avi with our Bane Blade tank from our Warhammer 40.000 mod firing it's main turret + 2 induviduel machinegun turrets and (if you look well) the mortar turret.

Us succeeding in making this script means that producing destroyers and battleships with more turrets is now possible too! Also, it will probaly work on airial units too although we haven't tested that yet...

As soon as the Warhammer 40.000 armor pack is released the multiturret script AND a tutorial how to apply the multiturret script in O2 and in the .cpp will be released.

That could be used to make alot of cool stuff. Especially vietnam gun boats biggrin_o.gif

With that script we could do many things. But i still gotto learn how to work O2 lol.

Lets hope they share their script with the rest of the community. I wanna see addons where multiple gunners are possible!

Hmm, I wonder what AI drivers will do when the turrets are faced at different targets rock.gif .

It is simple, you ask the creators "do you use setPos to achieve this" if they say yes then you can forget about it today. If not there is a chance it works well.

BN, in the OFP.info comments system that seems to be the case.

I bet they made seperate turrets with no collision and/or fire gemoetry so they won't get "sploded" when the tank moves. Probably has a simple check script to see when the main part of the tank has gone kaboom then it blows the turrets up as well.

It apparently will only work on boats and tanks, the turret won't rotate uphill.

Nothing special, guys...

if it works it would be great,

but even if it dont work, it doesnt matter to me cause all my hope will be on with OFP2 sad_o.gif
