Finland/norway/sweden island

Since there is 2 swedish mods, one from norway and i guess nobody has missed FDF's great works.. too bad we don't have any nice island that suit for that. So i wonder if there is any skilled island maker that would like to work together with SFP and create such island, we can do the houses, roadsigns and other custom objects but we lack knowledge in the island creation department.

Sure...I can help...but I haven't worked with any WRPedit program since june...but I still remember though :P

Though, I think I'll mostly use WRPTool, since I already have some experience from it, and I haven't tryied visitor...maybe very late to answer though :P but if you still want it, I can at least try ;)

yes i would really like it.

SDN has done some really nice roadsigns, atleast thats a start, then we need some houses, textures and such can be used from nogova, looks good.

Well...I'm looking for a DEM or a map of a nordic island...and I think I may found one...jusrt got to wait for OFPEC to get back up so I can DL that tool so I can import it into WRP Tool...haven't done that before.

If you have heard of some nordic island, it would fit to Sweden and Norway, but not very well to Finland.

The Finnish landscape is, hmm, unique...

You can find some places in Norway, Sweden and Russia, because of they are neighbouring countries, but mainly Finland is different.

finland is not so special.. norway is hard because of the mountains, Sweden is good to make a island from since we have more diffrent landscape to choose from and like finland we have real nice archipelago..

and what is that Norway,Sweden and russia is neighbouring?? I mean finland is right between us.

Anyway, can say that antaris has started with this project and we hope to finnish a swedish island "soon". What we could need is mostly nordic looking houses.

But now after over Ë a year i decidet to restart my island works and give OFP a second chance.

Now... Im from Denmark and reading this post made me thinking... Norway, Sweden, Finland... Why not Denmark as well? I have been working on a danish island for some time before I retired from OFP, so if u r interested we couldt work out something, Frandsen (The BAS dude) is currently working together with me making some houses etc. But drop a note, then we might figure out something nice.

Ohh yeah BTW... Its nice to be back, I did not imagine that I couldt miss a PC game this hard

Denmark looks a lot different; , almost completely flat, no forests, farmlands and more farmlands...Denmark and Finland looks alot different i must say, while Finland has forests and lots and lots of lakes.

I think Sweden and Finland would work, and a bit of Norway, but not Denmark, unfortunatley

There is alot of friggen forests and even more farmlands hell!!! ive been there ffs i live in Denmark i should friggen know!! Iven spent more time in danish Forest and Farmland that you spent infornt of your PC!!! So dont come here and tell us that we dont have forests and farmland!

Umm, are you planning to model typical finnish/swedish nature or archipelago? Theres quite a difference IMHO.

And I dont see much role for Danish units in Sweden/Norway/Finland.

No need to go wild Frandsen, i said no forests, i meant almost no forests (compared to Sweden and Finland that is), and if you read my post again you see that i say you have MORE farmlands (and not NO farmlands as you read it, might have put it in a confusing way though)  

And yes, i have been in Denmark, i am from Sweden myeslf

I'd really redo a lot of the Res natural objects. On a bright day everything is almost neon green, it ain't that pretty but hey, that's realism. Also the birches from CWC would need a facelift, to hi-res. If swedish nature is anything like in Farmen (yes I get some channels ) I'd go blind of the glimmer. Finnish nature isn't that dark tho, maybe there's more spruce and pine growth, who knows. I think you'll get further with this:
