toadlife 3 Posted September 10, 2003 Them selling it doesn't bother me - it's the fact that many mods use scripts/concepts which were written/thought up by outsiders - outsiders which will never see a red cent. I have serious doubts as to weather anyone could write an entire mod with absolutely no outside contributions taken from the community. Shadow NX 1 Posted September 10, 2003 I used to do mods for an rts style game where I recall 1 mod group tried to charge for their mod based on a 3 year old game engine.It wont work. You might sell 15-20 copies and that's it. Everyone will have their view on this but charging for your hobby isn't correct IMO. Â Â Planet of War a campaign and MP cd with a lot of scripts so it feels a bit like C&C was sold pretty good here in Germany... In other communities like the Train sim/Flight sim comunities payware is far from un-known.
