Home World Two, they said the original was full of bugs and crap, but my friend recomends it. But I did research and found out that their devloper like abandoned the community Also someone showed me this funny video about sieara http://hosted.tribalwar.com/musashi/marweas.html Does anyone have HW1 that could give me some advice? DracoPaladore 0 Posted September 3, 2003 I don't know about buying it. It's really up to your decisions. Personally, I rarely go upon others opinions(though, the game isn't in stores up here.). Tex -USMC- 0 Posted September 3, 2003 Homeworld is not only NOT full of bugs or crap, but it is one of the best, if not THE best pure RTS game I've ever played. Not to mention that it's beautiful the way you wish more games were, intelligent the way you wish more games could be, and challenging the way you used to think of games as challenging. I remember trying the HW1 demo and not being impressed, but I can't recall why. I'll have to try out this new demo. Maybe I'll have developed 'taste' in these, my older years? sanctuary 19 Posted September 5, 2003 I will not go into detail to not spoil anyone . Installed the demo , played tutorial , then tried the multiplayer maps in Player vs CPU mode . I dont see anything new since Homeworld 1 it seems to be the same game with just better graphics , In the skirmirsh , i dont find a real use of strategy and tactics in the middle of a battle despite the rock/paper/scissor concept that made an effective counter for each kind of ship. Conclusion , i dont like it an uninstalled it. Then a day after, i wanted to give it another try , perhaps i was just in a bad mood before playing . Reinstalling the demo , and , before  accessing to the menu a black screen with computer freezing , another try same result. Uninstalling again and deleting the demo After that i tried to play one of the small video i have on my system , i had the surprise to have sound but no image. Reinstalling latest divx codec (good to have backup) , image is back to normal I dont know if it is my system or the demo that uninstalled a part of the divx codec (first time i see that) , but this game is now forbidden on my system.
