Tor 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Is there anyone who has tried them both who would care to comment which one is best and if Between the Lines is worth getting?
Damage Inc 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Isn't Between The Lines some sort of ripoff mission pack? I've heard that it's total crap.
John C Flett 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Only played the demo of BTL and I wasn't impressed. It has a very amateur feel to it. Spelling wasn't too much to right home about either.
MotherRussiaAK74 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Red Hammer compared to BTL? HAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHHAHAHHA don't waste your money.
kegetys 2 Posted December 22, 2001 IMHO both are total crap
Unl33t 0 Posted December 22, 2001 BTL is more likely to be worse than Red Hammer. Wasn't BTL done by some dodgy pack of German ripoffs?
Damage Inc 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Something like that.
SpaceAlex 0 Posted December 22, 2001 Red Hammer is not crap. Your winter addons can't be everywhere. Some missions in Red Hammer are better and harder than those in original campaign. I still think that BIS campaign is beter.
Antichrist 0 Posted December 22, 2001 BTL is not even an addon its a piece of crap!!! Red Hammer rates about 7/10 for me
Challenger3 0 Posted December 22, 2001 If you like your missions over the top and a bit one-man-army/Delta force style or just harder than those in OFP then Red hammer is for you, it sacrifices the vague level mission realism that OFP had for all out heroics and difficulty, still quite good fun, although a shame they did'nt take the same infantryman/tankee/pilot/spec ops perspective they did in OFP, thats what separated it from other military sim things, it was'nt about being the hardest of the hard but about trying to portray infantry warfare, at a combined arms level in an interseting way. Red Hammer does'nt really do that by mission 3!
Tor 0 Posted December 22, 2001 I already have Redhammer. I'm interested in knowing opinions about BTL. So far there is only negative?

mithrandir 0 Posted December 23, 2001 BTL cannot be played! only tested the BTL DEMO, (for 3 minutes, then I thrased it. This kind of "legaly" ripoffs should not be supported so DONT BUY this crap! You can find better user made missions on the Net!

I have many Russian acquaintences and any one of them would have acted the parts better than the folks they got for Red Hammer. Wish they could have hired the guy who played Boris Badenough's voice in the original Rocky and Bullwinkle cartoon show. At least I'd be laughing a good part of the time. Just listen! Tor 0 Posted December 23, 2001 Ok - thanks, I'll keep clear.
SpaceAlex 0 Posted December 23, 2001 I totaly agree with that. Sound voices are horrible. But missions are cool. Some of them are annoying but not so much. My scores for Red hammer are 8/10. 1 point down for voices and one for missions and bad weather on Malden  BIs still made the best work. Original campaing is still the best. eyes 0 Posted December 23, 2001 I bought Red Hammer Last week and although I haven't had too much time to play (I'm on the first spec op mission) I'm really enjoying it. It's the first time I've had a reaon to play since finishing the original campaign and single missions. It may be a bit one man army but I quite like that - gives something different from the original campaign and allows you to take your time instead of rushing to keep up with you squad. Better than expected.
Hidden 0 Posted December 23, 2001 I have posted two Red Hammer mission walk-throughs (one with screenshots), on my forum. Am trying to keep it short and easy to understand, although this is the first time I am doing this (writing walk-throug´s). They are "Tank Rescue" and "Grounded". I did the last one today (Grounded), will write more. Click here to read them Hidden
