William DeVoe 0 Posted December 22, 2024 User: [MY_PC_NAME] Computer: [MY_PC_NAME] Mode: Client Version: 1.2.1.169 Command line: "G:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Arma Reforger\ArmaReforgerSteam.exe" -addonsDir "G:\Mods" -addonDownloadDir "G:\Mods" -addonTempDir "G:\Mods" This is here because my OS and Arma Reforger + the mods I have loaded are on separate drives and I was having issues with the automatic writing directory of Mod downloads from within the game client. OS: Windows CPU: AuthenticAMD: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor RAM: 32673 MB GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 VRAM: 12011MB GPU Driver: 566.36 [ 3.12.2024 (20 days) ] Exception: Access violation. Illegal read by 0x7ff70d990d65 at 0xffffffffffffffff This is the readback I consistently get and am unable to troubleshoot this through uninstall/reinstalls and common troubleshoot methods (like disabling overlays) I've seen on forums. _____ I have been receiving consistent crashes after loading into community servers that have mods loaded. I have had no issue with this in prior weeks and it has really only started happening since a week or so after the last update (PlayStation launch one), it could be on the mod owners; however, I really don't know what else I can do with my knowledge and the responses on forums that would point towards this. On top of these servers being consistently full it doesn't seem to be the mod packages that are the issue. If it is because my OS and game drive are on two separate drives, which is the one thing I have that is definitely abnormal, I don't think I can play on public servers... so that would suck. I specifically have a drive dedicated to my OS and base applications so I don't have drives available to even configure Arma Reforger to be compatible with that necessity. Any solutions or assistance that I can try I would appreciate. I have logs ready, if needed.
Link-5e28223df5d70951 0 Posted December 28, 2024 Same issue here, last two days without a single crash. Today my game crashed like 5 times in 30 minutes.
Link-5e28223df5d70951 0 Posted December 28, 2024 I would try delete all the mods and install them again.
Gunter Severloh 4071 Posted December 29, 2024 You can also try doing a verify integrity of cache on steam to make sure something in the game itself isn't corrupted.
HookedonPhonicsMonkey 0 Posted December 31, 2024 Hello, I've also been getting a random crash as well with the same crash report. I've tried everything under the sun I can think of to do. Changing power settings to performance. Turning off RTX Dynamic Lighting. Verifying Integrity of cache of Steam. Disabling all overlays that I would have. Uninstalling and reinstalling drivers. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game. Deleted the mods folder in its entirety. Turned off multithreading as recommended by some forums. Turned off any boosting/AI controlled OC to the CPU. Turned off XML profiles. Set settings to lowest setting. Also set settings to High instead of Ultra since I've seen in games like Kingdom Come Deliverance where the games engine can't handle the ultra setting on the game and if you max out draw distances.. It just causes headaches and similar crashes so applied that logic here because why not. I'm kinda at my wits end, trying to play a game, and it's so random I can't associate it with any certain source causing it. Even in singleplayer without mods. It could happen as you're respawning at a FOB, or it could happen in the midst of a firefight when everythings going on. It's happened when I was a passenger in a vehicle just riding along. If anyone comes up with a solution or if Bohemia finally fixes this it would be great appreciated.
Roy Clendaniel 0 Posted January 2 After the PlayStation Update, I had a similar issue with ( Exception: Access violation Illegal read by 0x7ff6e3d9da24 at 0x60) In my case, it was the "Better Muzzle Flashes" Mod. Removing it resolved the issue.
StarProxer 0 Posted Tuesday at 12:51 PM Well there still isn't any fix to this huh? I made my own post as well I hope we can get them to look at it by posting it as often as possible
RUSTY WABBITS 0 Posted Wednesday at 02:19 PM i am not sure but i have the same pc as you and i stopped getting read errors for a few days now there are a few things to try . Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to remove existing drivers completely and install the latest version. Check Windows Event Viewer for WHEA Errors - then its hardware Look for WHEA (Windows Hardware Error Architecture) errors in the Event Viewer (under Windows Logs > System). PBO (Precision Boost Overdrive) enabled, disable it there more you can do here . like undervolt but right now my pbo is off , Automatic Bios settings on motherboard are bad i have a feeling its PBO while you in bios turn off resizable bar and click above 4g memory on then turn resizable bar back on nvidia settings i changed from the top image scaling to Fxaa is all off gamma correction is on anti mode is off background application max frame is off low latency mode is off but i might switch it back on Max frame rate 73fps , my monitor is 75mhz , cap it 2 below if you can get to that Fps , prob cant get to 144mhz , set monitor to 75mhz Gsync on - fullscreen and borderless "in gsync later" power mode max performance shader catch size unlimited . . %texture anisotropic on , lod bias allow , quality high performance , trillnear on , threaded auto , triple buffering off , vsync off , personally i think its PBO also try setting ram to 3200 if you overclocking it mine are cosairs xmp 3600 but its something to try -addonsDir "G:\Mods" -addonDownloadDir "G:\Mods" -addonTempDir "G:\Mods" did you put this - start commands in i have just -noSplash -forceUpdate "aka nopause" when you alt tab failing all this reinstall the game too , usually unstable overclocking settings or bad code throws this error , so a bad mod , bad game code , or corrupted game code , bad overclocking or bad ram overclock / or bad ram doubt its the ram delete all mods and go to a normal server with 0 mods and test then go to a server a server with 0 mods and test
StarProxer 0 Posted 13 hours ago Hey thank you for the amazing reply. So with the BI update I'm gonna see whats happening but if I encounter anything I'll test what you showed. We think it had something to do with the Mods tbh, as some crashes could be related due to using a modded item or something. For now it's running kinda smooth with all the things we tested. I'll keep this updated if I encounter anything.
