amos m 0 Posted December 30, 2001 What're you talking about? It's a mission/campaign. They didn't change ofp at all. If you don't wanna try it then don't. Don't cry about it.

Intruder 0 Posted December 30, 2001 It's either a TV shaped like a pie, or a pie shaped TV , or something to do with teleport?
Damage Inc 0 Posted December 30, 2001 Teleport pie, sounds good
Damage Inc 0 Posted December 30, 2001 Except that it's a telepipe, not a telepie, big disappointment.
Intruder 0 Posted December 30, 2001 LOL, look at the first picture. If someones pointing a gun at a shop keeper, he's not gonna say "What do you want to buy?", more like "Please take anything, just don't hurt me" (Edited by Intruder at 2:21 pm on Dec. 30, 2001)

aliasalpha 0 Posted December 30, 2001 Should this turn out to be legitimate, could someone please mail me (aliasalpha@miss-match.com) the basic info on how it's done? I'd be really interested in implementing this in the campaign a friend and I are just starting.
Hidden 0 Posted December 30, 2001 First of all: This could be a nice addition to OFP The main problem IMO is that OFP players will ask: WHAT THE **** IS THIS?!? Oh, I forgot, they have alreday done that *G* Then RPG players will take a look at it because their OFP playing friends told them about a great RPG addon, and they will try it, then they will ask: WHAT THE **** IS THIS?!? Why? Because they are used to playing marvellous RPG´s, whereas any OFP addon will look and play like crap. So basically it sounds like wasted time. BUT if it at any point will make someone out there buy OFP, I´m all supergreen. Even more important: This clearly shows that someone is trying to take advantage of the OFP engine in other ways than just making ridiculous looking vehicle textures and glue furniture to vehicles.., which is a good thing (not the furniture part). Try taking a step back and look at the big picture, with OFP 2 on the horizon. If the guys at BIS will make the sequel easier to customize, they will sell more - a lot more. Games like OFP is too difficult to sell as much as CS, Max Payne e.t.c., it needs easy-to-play addons. Look at the soon-to-come Falcon V. I have Falcon 4.0 and it demands your attention every single second in flight. It has no genuine cadet mode, but Falcon V will ship with both Veteran and Cadet mode, one part for those who are new at it, the other for hard core flight simmers. The Cadet part will take you through a flight school, learning everything you need to survive in the air. In OFP all you get is a training ground "missions", run to that truck and back, crawl on your stomack.. then start killing enemies. Very steep hill to climb for casual gamers I think.
