<>Crippler<> 0 Posted June 19, 2003 Hey As a lot of people wanted Footmunch's Jaguars to carry bombs, I have made a bomber version (with much, much help from Footmunch ) I've retextured it in RAF grey and carries 38 CRV-7 Rockets, 2 Matra Magic AA missiles and 6 Mk82 Bombs. Footmunch has very kindly helped me to put on the trick of having AA and AG ground weapons simultaneously The AI use the bombs very well (like they do on the LGB version of the Buccaneer). Looks really good,downloading now But just a small thing : The RAF doesn't use the Matra Magic AAM.The French Armee de l'Air use it and probably some of the export customers, but I know that the RAF don't use it.They use the AIM-9M(I think it's the -M they currently use)and soon the ASRAAM Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Ah well- a point to be fixed with the Footmunch's deluxe Jag pack -I dont think its worth me re-releasing this with just a name changed. Shashman 0 Posted June 19, 2003 I downloaded it and I like it However, there were a few things I noticed : It may be my PC settings or OFP settings but the version in your screenshots looks more detailed.Seems like it has more panel lines and weathering.When I tried it it looked a little too clean, and bright.It didn't really fit in,it stood out. Also when you start flying the gear is down and you have to put the gear "down" (even though it already is) then up. I also have yet to survive an automatic ejection For some reason whenever I am ejected I am dead, even when I've taken damage (significant but not lethal) from a Shilka and am ejected I am dead. When you rotate and are just about airbourne, the aircraft tends to want to turn left and you have to correct your attitude. The MK-82s seem a little too large and (as I said before) being an RAF model it shouldn't have Matra Magics but AIM-9Ms. Apart from that it's a nice aircraft,easy to fly and fun to fly Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

This is a very good plane for ground attacks,its as stable as they come,very manouvrable and easy to fly,i recommend this one to beginners in OFP flying fixed wing The only bug i found was as shash said : It tilts ever so lightly to the left at take off,but it didnt bother me; i ejected fine,no problems there,didnt notice that gear up/down thingy shash reported.One bug i did notice was that when those CRV-7 rockets are on and u lock a target its allways in diamond shape even if u are not aligned to target and those rockets are not guided...that is a bug,apart from that great addon! Footmunch 0 Posted June 20, 2003 Just poking my nose in here - Crippler's the man to harass... The original Jags had Magic's cos I was bored with all the sidewinder's. It's just a quick re-tex and config update to turn it into an Aim-9. Can the Jags mount ASRAMM's? What about Brimstone's? IIRC - the RAF don't use the over-wing pylons day-to- day. There was some concern about stressing airframes which are, in some cases, 20 years old. I added them originally to make the Jag stand out from the crowd somewhat. For the texture sharpness, the textures are quite big (perhaps too big). You may have to increase the maximum texture size in the OFP configurator - see elsewhere for details - otherwise the engine will draw the plane with the first Mip level of the textures that's small enough.
