If you ask me, homosexuality has no place in the church.  But not everyone believes like I do, so if you go to a church that accepts gay people, fine.  But the Bible I read says to not be gay, and to not go to church with gay people, so I won't do it.  I don't believe it's right, but you don't have to believe what I do.

And don't tell me that you're "born with homosexuality".  You're not born with homosexuality any more than a pedophile is born with a lust for children. (NO I'm not saying gays are child molesters)

So if people start to accept that people are born with whatever sexual perversion they have, they should stop prosecuting child molesters.  They can't help it, they were born with it.  Right?

The bible says gay is bad , but in God's eyes all sins are equal, and dont tell me that any1 is sinless, so u c what I am saying. the problem is that I think struggling with homosexuality knowing that it is wrong is one thing and embracing the lifestile is another, so I guess I wouldnt want the pastor of my church to be gay, but I am not a better person then ur average Gayjane just cuz I am straight

Anyhow, FS- put yourself in the position of a gay person. Your sexual orientation puts you beyond the pale. You're ostracized from a large portion of society, and in general, you are a pariah, especially if you live in the South (from my observations). The insult of choice for many people is 'fag' or 'homo'. You're told every day that homosexuality is wrong and disgusting. Don't you think that maybe, just maybe, if a gay person had a choice as to their sexuality, they would opt to be straight? Seems their lives would be several magnitudes easier without the hassle of being in one of the more persecuted minorities in society. And look at it from another direction- did you make the choice? I didn't- I was just made straight, I guess. So if you never made the choice to be straight, what makes you think that others chose to be gay? Especially with all the BS gays have to deal with.

Homosexuality and child molestation are two entirely different entities.  A gay relationship is between two willful homosexual adults.  They key word being WILLFUL.  Child molesters bring it upon themselves to attack innocent children who are absolutely defenseless to stop anything.  If you actually believe a child would want to be sexually molested by an adult, chances are, you’re a pedophile.

Here here!  Although I don't have any hardcore religious belief, I'm still against people being gay.

Now don't get my wrong, I'm quite heterosexual, and in fact, I'm quite secure in it.  My belief is the main reason people hate homosexuals simply because of their own insecurities.  I also think is quite comical that the Catholic Church can call gay people perverted only to have a considerable amount of their priests molesting children.

Uh, I wasn't discussing whether homosexuality was right or wrong.  I just said I believe its wrong and respect your right to believe otherwise.

I should of clarified.  An unrepentant homosexual (someone who realizes it is wrong and has stopped and been forgiven) I've got no problem with.  But someone who is continually homosexual after being confronted with the believe that it is a sin I won't go to church with.

Yes, but it's very hard to change your sexuality to just do it on a whim, it takes therapy.

You didn't make the choice to be straight because thats the way your mind was designed to work.  Someone does make the choice (conciously or subconciously) to be gay because that's not the way the mind is designed to work.  (and yes there have been scientific studies on the brains of homosexual and heterosexual dead people, showing no noticeable differences between the two, I think they used 20 brains to be exact)

Your mind is very easy to mold and shape.  It's easy, especially if you're young, to develop a sexual perversion.  Even if you don't realize it.  I think that some people just made the choice to sexually concentrate more on men than on women.  They may not of signed on the dotted line to be gay, but one way or the other they changed themselves to be attracted to men.

It's a common medical fact that people aren't made homosexual.  The human body is meant to reproduce heterosexually.  Just because you rub it the right way and it feels good doesn't mean it was meant to be.

Go ahead and re-read my post.  You'll find that I made a point to seperate homosexuals and pedophiles.

I basically said this

homosexuality = sexual perversion

pedophilia (sp?) = sexual perversion

therefore if you believe that homosexuals did not make a choice to be homosexual, you must also believe that pedophiles did not make a choice to be pedophiles.

I'm quite secure with myself, and my sexuality. Why is it pathetic for me to dislike gays?
