The s.j.b. handgun project

Well, thanks to the (limited) feedback I have received, I have fixed all bugs that have been reported to me. (The Silenced Military USP w/ LAM and Black Desert Eagles' MF Bug, and two slight texture errors resulting in streched and incorreclty positioned textures on the Anaconda and SIG P-225. The P99 optics are being fixed ASAP).

If you happen to notice anymore bugs that have not been mentioned above (and are thus unknown to me), please let me know by replying to this post, and detailing the errors, and if possible provide me with an image of the fault as Cpt. Bazikian[5thSFG] has done, I would be most appreciative.

Hey Jackal. Took a quick look at the handgun configs (from the addons in "SJB_HandgunPack_1.1") and they all suffer from the same addon dependency bug that plagues so many addons out there. But the fix is easy! Take the SJB_Ber92F for example. Here's how it looks now:

The same goes for all other weapons in that addon and the other addons in the weapon pack.

However, since that weapon uses both resources and class definitions from O.pbo (i.e "BIS_Resistance") it needs to be

(requiredAddons came with 1.85). These fixes will make your addons work correctly when used in mod folders and on dedicated servers. Nothing less, nothing more but very important.

Apart from the bugs already mentioned, these guns look excellent.

Had some problems finding all the handguns though. (anaconda + S.T.A.R.S). Maybe a good idea to have all guns in the "SJB Handgun Pack" class, in the editor.

Looking forward to pack 3.

Well I did find them in the end, so there's no harm done tounge_o.gif

These are definately the best handguns in OFP so far smile_o.gif

Some ideas for updates in pack 1 + 2

- Suppressed Colt

- Suppressed P99

And here's a list of some guns I won't mind seeing in pack 3:

- Browning Hi Power + suppressed and tactical versions

- Browning Mk3 + suppressed and tactical versions

- HK Mk23 "SOCOM" + suppressed and LAM versions

Better get back to gunning down innocent civilians with all these new "goodies"  wink_o.gif

Btw looking forward to some descent glocks too. The original BIS ones are starting to look ugly next to all these nice new guns

Well, you'll both be pleased to know that in the next update I hope to include several Glock variations (17, 18, and 23).

Laser made one to go with his 1993 Delta/Rangers that he released a while back.  (not as good as your colts though sad_o.gif )

Maybe he has access to some images you could use?

After a few problems uploading, a friend of mine, Swatdog managed to upload the SJB Forums.

Check out http://www.ofpr.com/sjb/forum/index.php for more information. Its still early days, so design and layout may change so watch this space.

There you can post feedback/comments/criticisms/suggestions for improvement for the Hnadgun Packs, and/or Special Reaction Team Packs

Hey there, there is a way to make the slide lock back after the last round has been fired. You have to create an identical model with the slide in the locked back position and use ModelSpecial. This means when the weapon is empty, the slide is back and as soon as you load a magazine in, it appears to click forward. Ive done this to my M9 and P228 and looks quite effective. Expect to have to reposition the model with the slide forward around though, thats what ive been doing for the last hour. smile_o.gif

Just to let everyone know that work is still going on with the FULL RELEASE of v2.0 although it is very limited at this time due to my intense work on the Special Reaction Team Pack v2.0

Check out this directory for latest images of the Desert Eagles (the only weapons to be worked on recently).

Edit: I'll be looking into the Locking slides in more detail for Pack Three (and the updates to Pack One and Two), rather than for Pack Two FULL.

Having done very little to the Handguns for quite some time, due to the distraction of various other projects, I have recently restarted work on them. The first to be updated was the Anaconda, fixing a few bugs (such as the mis-alligned texture on the revolving section), as well as tweaking/rebuilding the rear site etc. New sounds will also be added.

The other handguns will be getting reworks within the coming weeks, and hopefully, the Glocks will finally get a config tounge_o.gif

I've been working on a few new Colt variants, which started out as a side project just for my own amusement, but after a few requests, I'm considering releasing them with the FULL version of Pack 2. BETA images can be found at http://sjb.ofpr.com/images/colt45/.
