Aeon 0 Posted May 8, 2003 A nice and very realistic feature would be the breath management like in "American Army" game did, much better than aimPrecision in CfgMovesMC states
Major Fubar 0 Posted May 8, 2003 Sorry to go OT for a sec...but has anyone else done this: run your soldier in OFP around till he's huffing and puffing like Darth Vader, then left an "obscene caller" message on a friends answering machine by putting the phone to your PC speakers? Or is it just me...
Skul 0 Posted May 8, 2003 lol@fubar And the breathing thing? Not sure, since I haven't played that game, but a nice addition would be the ability to hold your breath to steady your aim, like in Splinter Cell, except you can hold your breath longer than in SC. Sam can only hold his breath for about 8 seconds, yet he can do a triple-reverse somersault and land on his pinkies with no errors (well, okay, that's a little exagerrated). Anyhoo, back on topic, holding breath. Snipers would find this useful, I think. And if you have been running for a while, you can't hold your breath, or the time you can hold it is limited. If BIS incorporate this into the game, could you make it a realistic 'time limit'? I mean, I can hold my breath for about 40-50 seconds when I'm relaxed. Makes aiming too easy? Well, your aim will still jiggle around a little, won't it? Just my two cents, as you crazy Americans say! Â
kegetys 2 Posted May 8, 2003 I dont like the AA style breathing at all, there should be a hold breath button or something similar, its quite annoying when the fella decides to empty his lungs just a millisecond before I pull the trigger.
Baron Hurlothrumbo IIX 0 Posted May 8, 2003 8 seconds is an ok time to be holding your breath, any longer and your aim will start to wobble (honestly)

You will be shitting ur pants, breathing quicker with your heart pounding in your throat due to adrenaline. Also, your rifle would be very inaccurate when u breath again due to the massive breath you'll draw after you hold it. Your rifle would wobble all the time anyways, its bloody hard to keep your aim straight on a range with a .22 let alone in the heat of battle.

Silver Falcon 0 Posted May 21, 2004 Well, I will find sufficient, if the Aimprecision would be used enough in ofp2. It gets much more atmosphere, when you set aimprecision to 2-2.3 in prone, about 5-6 in crouch and 6-7 in standing position and you must put more effort to aiming. Also the range decreases as in real. Its nearly like playing another game, then the snipers must be good to kill at 400-500m at first shot (there should be bipod decreasing aimprecision to 1.2-1.5 when deployed).
