Please can some one from BIS explain it to me because i am a little bit confused about it :S Read the Txt from ofp.at here: A few of us whould think in this moment, what in the hell ..great news ppls Bohemia Interactive Studios help the Lego Warz team with their work, they enjoy playing the first demo and Maruk Spanel write a email to the leader of the Mod and say that they want to support the mod as good as possible. Major Gripe 0 Posted May 3, 2003 Obviously the team at BIS have more of a sense of humour than we thought!
waffendennis 0 Posted May 3, 2003 Yea i think so lol but they can share there humor to by giveing us some newer updates and that stuff so we can have fun to and make it good ( nah BIS gods just kidding keep up the good work and take time on OFP2 and dont ya ever think of quiting with it )
dinger 1 Posted May 3, 2003 Uh. What the good folks at BIS find amusing and interesting to them is their business. As an addon maker (CoC Mines, upcoming CoC_UnifiedArtillery), I've never had any complaints about the support or lack thereof from BIS. If we have a serious question, we post here, and it gets answered, either by other posters or someone from BIS. I don't necessarily find an email like that newsworthy; but I wouldn't get upset at the perceived "lack of support" for other big addons. They can play what they like; BIS has, in my experience, supported the addon community as a whole, and has supported us quite well. And who knows, maybe they sent those teams you mentioned fan mail as well, and we just haven't heard about it? So relax. It's a good thing that the developers of this game take an active interest in it, even after the final patch is released. Now it's our job to show them ways we can make the OFP engine do things they never imagined possible.
waffendennis 0 Posted May 3, 2003 your right in that but we almost have done evry thing that was posible to do so now we need BIS
dinger 1 Posted May 3, 2003 heh. That's what you think... should get another CoC press release out. Now where was I (goes back to shelling the fountain in Lipany square from Modrava)
Guest Posted May 4, 2003 BIS has helped out lots of mod teams, large as well as small ones. They of course have a limited time so they can't help all people directly, but that's what we have the community for. I can give you an example. BIS (Suma to be precise) implemented a new command (onMapSingleClick) to help the CoC team with the Command Engine. Getting help from BIS is of course very nice, but it is a privilege, not a right. It's great that they want to do it but we are in no position to issue demands on who they should help.
bn880 5 Posted May 4, 2003 Yep, not to mention that the Lego mod is really neat! I mean, people go bonkers when they see Lego dudes run around and shoot, and the jetski... Legoland in OFP?

GoOB 0 Posted May 4, 2003 LOL mate (dont ban me either ) My guess is BIS wants to support something original, no one i mean no one has ever made a lego mod (maybe there is one about for those lego games) And that making lego can be quite challenging. I mean who knows how lego men move? But that's only my guess. I know that if i made a game i'd try to support people making original content to my game, it gives the game more dimensions and keeps interest up in the game itself. Since i guess that's what all game makers want to make something others can enjoy (that and making lots of cash)

Rattler 0 Posted May 5, 2003 Cool. How are they going to distingish 1 teams vehicle from the other teams vehicle. Are they all either red or blue? Everything I made with Lego was always mis matched peices. The tank or jet or what ever I made, looked like it was a jet or what ever, but it looked like someone used puke to paint it.
