Sxep 0 Posted May 15, 2003 Great heli, loved the show love the model There is a bug: when i go on turbo and make a hard turn the Turbo keeps comming ( it shuts down at 800) so i can even dogfight jets lol well its not really a disadvantage BUT ..when i fly at 40m and turn the turbo on and to the same manouvers it locks at about 3 turn and points the nose Down ...Crash The Engine sounds are ok to me, but the cannon/machinegun sounds piss me of (BIS standards) would be really cool to have some nice new sounds for them! < my main wish as for the Textures, well they´ll need some nice shadings because they are a bit plain..Not bad. really hope you care and update it a bit! Keep on the nice work PS: the turbo Exaust aslo needs a bit attention
Commando84 0 Posted May 15, 2003 really cool! Its just as invincible like in the series 3 mig 29-s pounded me with AA missiles without destroying me... But I really love the speed of this chopper
Guest DKM-jaguar Posted May 19, 2003 its a nice addon, but what helicopter was the one they made for the show based on? It looks familiar, even with all the stuff they must have dressed the original heli up with [dont tell me they made a completely new helicopter just for one show] ..looks a bit like a Bell. oh well. Oh, and if the helicopter really had existed then why would they purposely design it with a weak spot!?
BATPBC 0 Posted May 19, 2003 Jag it is a modified Bell 222. Very advanced for its day when it came out. Never intended for Military use. It is a business class Helicopter Still looked cool on TV though
Guest DKM-jaguar Posted May 19, 2003 the noises where quite baffling though..with the sreaming engines and the weird bleeping. someone should make a series of these 70's and 80's US tv show things..like mr T's van or the night rider car!
Eviscerator 0 Posted May 22, 2003 I always remembered Airwolf firing Mavericks (which probably stuck in my mind because its a huge missile coming out of a 2-3 inch tube in the show...) so i did a little searching and it seems this addon is a little under-armed for Airwolf: http://www.geocities.com/SunsetStrip/Mezzanine/7341/airwolf.html Quote[/b] ]• Offensive Systems:Airwolf is equipped with the following weapons: •Standard: •4 Retractable chain-guns (30mm) - 2 on each pod. •2 Retractable chain-guns (40mm) - 1 on each pod. •6 Hellfire short range air-to-surface missiles •6 Copperhead long-range air-to-surface missiles •12 Redeye short-range air-to-air missiles •AGM-45 Shrike (nuclear tipped) missile •AIM-4 Falcon (radar-guided/IR-seeking missile) •AGM-12 Bullpup ASM (air-to-surface missile) •AIM-9 Sidewinder (air-to-air) •Douglas AIR-2 (nuclear rocket - unguided) •MB-1 Genie (as above) •AGM-65 Maverick (air-to-surface) missile Missile Deployment: Airwolf's missiles are fired from a gravity-fed "ADF" pod ("Automatic Direction Finding"). In other words, as Airwolf flies past a target, the ADF pod will turn to face it. The ADF pod can rotate 180 degrees , meaning all the way to port (left) and all the way to starboard (right). Also, the ADF pod cannot be deployed at speeds above 3000 knots. • Defensive Systems: Airwolf is equipped with the following countermeasures: •Sunburst (Anti-IR) Dispensers •Chaff Dispensers •Infrared Suppressor •Infrared Jammer •Radar Jammer
