Well, I do have a unit planned with a helmet (with and without animated goggles) so your wishes will (hopefully) be answered ;).

are the engagement range of the units be standard bis ones??

also are there going to be improved hit points on the models that show body armour like the covert operative and ct team???

will the new recon units show distinct body armour rock.gif??

out of all addon makers ur the first one i really notice on replying on specific questions and reply without a hint of anger and frustration.....like some....not naming names

By "distinct armour" I assume you mean will they have an actual modelled vest, instead of just a texture, to which I can answer yes, they will. As will be the case for all units. Hitpoints will be ever so slightly increased too, to show the existence of armour.

As for the engagement ranges, I am undecided as to whether or not to change them.

I MAY also include a few vehicles with the pack, or as a seperate pack.

i hope u at least fix the snipers

they dont seem to fire until they reach 230m of the target while standard ofp snipers can shoot i think to 300 to 500m not sure but i know they shoot more than 200m

i think the engagement of the other current soldiers are alrite but i think its that the weapons are not accurate in shooting long distances, the m4 variants when used by ai cant shoot accurately at the distance of 230m, they seem to miss quiet alot hope u fix it so at least it takes them to shoot accurately 1ce or twice to hit the target

i compared the units to standard ofp ones and the only thing is that wat i explained earlier the m4s at 200m engagements dont shoot accurate unlike standard ofp soldiers which shoot accurate

i tested the units on full skill against uce/sdoc russian infantry soldiers

Yes it is...well its not on complete hold, but only 1% of my time is spent on it, making small tweaks every now and then.

http://sjb.ofprc.net/SRT2/Units/Images/SJB_WoodlandNVG_Units.jpg shows two of the latest additions I've just made (yes, work has continued on the units). Work on the weapons will resume upon completion of the Handgun Project - Pack Two.

I'm busy with my own projects at this time philmante, but I'll check out the the forum thread anyway.

The actual Special Reaction Team units (S.R.T.s) are loosely based on real-life SRTs, in terms of their appearnce and weapon load outs.

The recon units, pictured earlier, are mostly fictitious but are inspired by various images I have collected, and previous addons I've used.

Jackal.. Those Textures on the Soldiers look splending!!

Only an idea, because i´m missing these 2 things on the most ("new") Soldiers that are comming out now.

1. One Soldier like the one you posted on the last screen (left one). Without a helmet..but with a gasmask.

2. and a Soldier (like the Left one) without anything on his head..but a headset maybe.

Would that be posible for you to do?

that would be really cool, and deffinatly fit in your SRT pack.

If you could model a soldier with a gasmask that can be added and removed with an action, you would surely secure a spot in OFP history! wink_o.gif

pls DONT give them american badges as default because im gonna use these units as my top secret spec ops group that dont officially exist like cia sas operators

just enble them to have wat the bas delta/ranger have where u can put clan badges and flags in the initial field

but its up to u

Its a small incompatibility with the custom animation and the model, nothing major, it looks fine during 'normal' play.

I am not going to include the default US Flag on the shoulder, like the default BIS units.

I was considering a similar system to BAS' where you can edit the patch yourself, I'll look further into it.

and with the pbos are u gonna separate the m4s and units tthis time round?

i know u still busy with the hg2 but just asking more questions since im really looking forward to v2
