TerranAce007 0 Posted April 18, 2003 Until recently I have had no trouble with this game and my 8500. It runs smooth at 1280x1024x32 with high graphics settings. I think I need to reinstall the game since I constantly get memory map dta/music.pbo errors... A few tips: -Turn landscape detail to low and turn on Anistropic filtering instead. Faster and looks just as good. -When I reinstalled the game after my reboot I noticed it was very choppy. I couldn't figure out what was wrong until I went into the setup program to see all my textures were set to 2048x2048 resolution. I wouldn't recommend setting it higher than 1024 textures. 512 should be fine for most stuff, but you can turn cockpits up for better detail. Having all those 2048 textures will eat up ALL of your ram, unless you have a few gigs of it.

Yes I turn it down to 512 instead of 2024 runs a lot smoother now,Thank.
