Yoshiro 0 Posted March 23, 2003 Also have a issue with the gear, Â On the AMRAAM version once gear goes up, the front gear stays down, and you can nolonger move the gear. Â As well on one of the versions, can't remember which, the canopy refused to go down Oh yea and AA missle lock on to people, and some don't lock onto planes. Pennywise 0 Posted March 23, 2003 It sounds like yoshiro has the wrong addon. That was a bug in the Beta. The gear works fine in the new addon. You cannot mix the old version with the new version. Or else you will get these effects. If you are running DS, I suggest you list the addon in the checkfiles[] option. Like this: checkfiles[]= { "HWTL\dta\data3d.pbo", "dta\data3d.pbo", "bin\config.bin", "res\HWTL\dta\data3d.pbo", "res\dta\data3d.pbo", "res\bin\config.bin", "res\hwtl\dta\Merged.pbo", "worlds\abel.wrp", "worlds\cain.wrp", "worlds\eden.wrp", "worlds\intro.wrp", "res\addons\rad_f18.pbo" }; This should determine if anybody is using the old addon. Â It looks great, but mabey you should add a script to it so that when its extended you come to a stop much faster. Â If something like this is implimented and I missed it let me know. Guest Posted March 23, 2003 Grait work Hudson, best addon ewer, but a couple of things i beg you to implement in the F-18 to make it even bether. These things has ben done on the commanche, so it should be possible for a experienced addonmake as yourselves. 1. Make a option in the menu for opening the cockpit before you can choose get out. It looks a bit funny that the cockpit is opening after the pilot has goten out. This will look more realistic. Cockpit closing automatically when starting engine is ok. 2. Remove the option to bring up the gear, when on ground. 3. This i am not 100% sure of, but i dont think than the f18 can fly in 800km/h with the gear down in real life, or can it??? So what abouth making it so you only can take down the gear when you're under a sertain speed limit??? If you implement this i'll vorship you. We found a bug late last night when killing an AI soldier that was pilot. It generated script errors and canopy control script started going crazy. He wound up making 20 last time I counted. Asking him to do another 1 or 2 was out of the question when it was so easy for me to just alter the mass of the plane. Tail hook can be considered eye candy. I guess its there so you have something to play with while moving hyperspeed back to the airport to pick up 6 more CBUs.
