see, that's the problem. My friends tell me I'm a great modeller, but I always have trouble incorporating them into games. I lost my spot on a modding team on C&C: Renegade liek that. Is there any tuts out there on how to convert and make it work?

yes yes, I know. But I could never find what to do with it after a 3dsmax conversion. I mean I have the model done, so what next, right? Should I create the interior within 3dsmax? How do I import textures, and how do I export it to the game after I'm done with it in Oxygen.

EDIT: lol ^ past two posts. and than kyou. Check out more of my models at www.IBOPM.tk

that craft is way cool! A batwing?

1. Try to optimize the model to kept the polycount down otherwise it will cos the cpu to lag once with textures on.

2. Break up your craft into parts, texture it as parts and export it as 3ds BASED on the texture used, eg, front texture + front part = front 3ds.

3.open 02 and import(not open) 3ds file. Click E and apply the texture on the part. save it as an 02 part eg, frontpart.p3d.

4. Merge all the parts together, then apply the LODs.

5. Config (put in the coding/parameters - can use mine if u want, just change the craft name) your craft, pbo it and then put it in the ofp addons file....good to go.

Lol!...not as simple as i make it out to be, but if u are serious about getting your addons ingame, perhaps u can try out some of the tutorials first, no need to be ambitious to go for bigger projects, a simple box will do and will show the way on how to get your projects in game. Nothing beats seeing your own creation respond interactively on a simulated battlefied in ofp. ALL THE BEST! smile.gif
