USMC Sniper 0 Posted March 2, 2003 I've noticed lately that games aren't running that fast anymore, especially games like Splinter Cell or even OFP: Res sometimes. This is what my comp has: Asus A7A266 Motherboard (no way I'm installing a new one) AMD Athlon XP 1600+ Nvidia Geforce 2 MX 400 40GB Hard drive 256 MB DDRRam Soundblaster Live! (I'm fine with this) HP Cd-Writer Plus (I think it's 8x when writing, and I need something faster) The poll choices are what I want to buy, but only one of those things, since each one does cost an upward of $100 Canadian, especially the Geforce 4. I need to know which one will give me the largest performance boost. I will probably buy some RAM anyways, but later. I am fairly certain that the Ti4200 will give me the largest performance boost, either that or a new processor (either an Athlon XP2200+ or a Pentium 4 2.6 gigahertz).
