Great! biggrin.gif

I am so happy I finally figured out how to make it work. You see Stopplehopser the problem was not with your addons but because of the WW2 teams old pre-oxy ww2 addons. It clashed with yours but since I took the others out, yours work perfectly.

Downloading...

BTW : when do you plan to release a beta of your Russian soldiers? Maybe on the non-official Russian "Men's Day" is 23 February, the Day of Army. All men in Russia are liable for call-up (including reservists), so they all are celebrities. So to commemorate this day maybe a beta of Russian soldiers would be in order wink.gif

yo desantnik,

good u figured it out. i hope and moreover i am sure the latest release will not cause any problems whatsoever. plus many mod groups are currently trying to setup some standards so for future addons there will be less interferences and incopatibilities, or best none at all...

for the russians: i think a beta will be ready for feb23rd. and i also like the idea wink.gif the landser release took longer than i expected (take a look at the changes and you´ll probably guess why), but everything i learned in the progress can go into the russians now.

Congratulations on these excellent soldiers!!!  They are everything I've wanted in WWII soldiers!  They have the sound of their equipment shaking around, the bullet ricochet sounds are there, there are no texture bugs, and best of all they have great weapons, great textures, and really nice equipment on them.  I really love the coats and also the sniper soldier.  Also the German officer really looks realistic and I especially like his cap as it is properly shaped.  I put them up against the 1944 team's 82nd Airborne soldiers (equipped with the BAR addon) and they actually were perfectly matched.  The result was some truly impressive battles with both sides assaulting and retreating as the tide of the battle shifted back and forth in fierce close quarters combat around a village.

All that is missing is a Panzerfaust for an AT German soldier and a Luger pistol for the officers and it would be perfect.  There is a Panzerfaust in a WWII German weapons pack somebody made (updated 2.0 version of the old WWII team weapons pack), but it's all one big .pbo file unfortunately.  So perhaps someone will make a stand-alone Panzerfaust and Luger pistol that can be put up on your site.  But I know right now you must want to get those Russians finished and I can't wait to see the beta of those.  I also like the idea of the Feb.23 release.   A good way to remember those brave Russians who sacrificed their lives during WWII.

So far I think that this is definitely the best WWII German infantry addon out at the moment (although there are other good ones as well).  Hats off to you for all the hard work you've put into this.   I am enjoying this addon immensely!!!

Thank you so much!!!!

@miles,

thanks alot for your appreciation smile.gif

i just contacted ww2ec about the weapons.

actually i´d like to make some myself but i need

the basic russian weapons first and i still have to make a final of the mg42 (one lod only, bad textures).

i will take care of the russians next (23rd is a date) and as soon as they are in an acceptable state i wanna improve both addons...

I have returned from trying the landsers and I must say that I am truly impressed. I loved the sounds of the guns and the mp40s were used to great effect in close quarters battles. The AI uses the weapons well and I liked the coated soldier. The trench coat and the German field cap really looked realistic. Very nicely done, Stopplehopser. Truly impressed.

What about doing a major with the proper officer hat and then taking that officer hat and adding it to one of the troops with the coat and making that into a general?

Just a idea...I need some officers/targets to ride around in the kubel.

Yup I agree with CanadianTerror... some higher level officers would be nice. They could use the same cap that General Guba wears in OFP... but I'm not sure if his model is accessible.

Oh I should mention a tiny tiny bug... the guys with the coats... the bottom part of the coat is just a slightly different shade of grey compared to the upper part. But it's barely noticeable so it's not a big deal.

Also I'd liked to say, that along with the others I really enjoy the MP40 sub-machine gun. It's not real accurate at long range, but at close range it's really deadly. Also I like that now the MG-42 is slightly more inaccurate. I think that this reflects the recoil of the weapon very nicely and also gives the Allied soldiers more of a chance of surviving. The MG42 textures look fine to me, but if you can make them better, then by all means do so!

It's gonna be fantastic putting these German soldiers up against your Russian infantry when you release them!

There's a standalone Luger at OFP.Info which you may like to try. I haven't downloaded it myself but from the picture it looks well made. smile.gif

Munger, it's crap. First of all it is too big.

Sights look like shit. It's addon that's designed to look neat from sideways.

I know, but I was replying to your request for a Luger by recommending one on OFP.info. When Blake said it was crap I said you should probably not bother with it.

Ah ok. I think I actually checked it out once and didn't find it too impressive. I still have it somewhere in my collection of addons so I'll check it out when I have time.

Thx.
