ziptlytical 6 Posted December 22, 2020 I love the eden editor but i still always find restricted in making advanced missions because of the amount of scripting needed to do so. I just want arma4 to be fully modulated for the average mission maker with only like 5% scripting if that. The modules they have now for arma3 are great but still not enough. Example would be getting AI to do what you want, it's not easy doing this without scripting. anyone else have same thoughts? Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
beno_83au 1369 Posted December 22, 2020 Well, there's 3den Enhanced that makes doing the basic things a bit easier. But there's over 2300 script commands, plus the vanilla functions. If you are taking requests for useful features to add to your mod Pierremgi,i'd say after adding a sp revive which you have,(it being the most core essential needed feature for SP gameplay imo) the next two things would be *basic things BIS either didnt fully include or didnt nail correctly... Those two things being a proper rearm system for AI squad mates.Currentl and for a long time now there has been a bug where if your AI have a pistol on them,they will not be able to rearm their primary rifle at a supply box or other inventory item.Even if this wasnt an issue,the default rearm system is heavily lacking,AI only take 3 or 4 mags.As a squad leader i generally manually rearm my team of 7 guys half way through a scenario...tiring as all hell. The other thing would be a proper support call,or an autonomous one where a fuel/ammo/repair truck on the map could actually go and support other units.I never can get a logistics vehicle on a support wp to work.Kind of gave up on BIS ever addressing these core issues.Really glad to have the revive from you at the very least. 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Cuz i always have ideas for cool missions but with the amount of heavy scripting needed for it, i don't always have the time to spend weeks/months creating a really good mission and we only can make simple missions so long without getting bored. If you could make a simple module that allows a group of AI units to get in any vehicle when the module is synced to that vehicle? Would be very useful without having to type in those few lines of code. Module can just sync the group to the vehicle then they'll all be in the vehicle if the vehicle. There are already several tools for that: - 3den drag & drop a group on vehicle: the units are embarked at start; - the two waypoints "get in" synced to "load" for the group and the vehicle (with crew); - then "get in nearest" waypoint for jumping onto vehicle on the way; - the "get in combat" BI module to embark units as soon as they are in combat mode.
