Bw mod demo 1.2

Recommended Posts

Many thanks again - that was b****y fast!

After the last screen, the 2 installation boxes just clear. I'm not running OpFP, and when checking the programme folder I find that an empty BW Mod sub-folder has been added, but no other changes have been made (sigh...) sad.gif

Do you have to select a path somewhere? Are there any boxes to tick? Does it give you an error of some sort? If none of this, then I dunno, soz m8 sad.gif

No errors reported so far. I'm going to have to knock this on the head (I'm a police pilot on shift, and we have a task coming up) but I'll shutdown/restart and try again later.

You do yourself and your site immense credit with this sort of helpful response - I'm very grateful.

cheers - drive safely biggrin.gif

Well, if nothing works after all, try to manually unzip the setup.exe (the file you downloaded). Right-click on it and choose something like "Decompress to..." or "Expand to...".

After that put the addon files into the addon folder of OFP manually.

Some very nice addons in this one, but as has been said, not much new after the last demo.

I would prefer if they released individual units or groups of units instead of 1 huge exe file (I hate self installers).

Also disappointed, still no shadows! Not good enough, looks really tacky ingame!

Anyway, enough complaints, there is some top notch addon making involved in this demo, well done! smile.gif

It's kind of a case of convenience. It's much easier to download one file than 40. I know why some people don't like self-extractors, but it's better than forgetting to download addon no. 32, and finding that the whole thing doesn't work. smile.gif Too many people would look at downloading each file individually and say "Forget it!"

Also you can use a download manager, and put it on when you go to bed....wake up the next day and it has downloaded! No problems (except if your connection cuts out, in which case you can just resume). I always download big files this way over my crappy 56k connection.

Lucky me I have cable and I had downloaded the whole thing in 3 minutes without a download manager biggrin.gif

I download the file again now with a download manager to look how many minutes ............................

Finished 2 minutes and 12 seconds tounge.gif

My connection rocks you people with 56k modems will get it really hard confused.gif

First message:

BW Mod demo 1.2 soll installiert werden

Um fortzugahren, drucken Sie die Setup-Schaltflache

2nd message:

Beenden Sie vor dem Start der Installation zuerst OpFP.  Ansonsten kann die Installation nicht fehlerfrei durchgefuhrt werden

3rd message (at head of licence agreement...)

Falls Sie mit der nachfolgenden Lizenvereinbarung nicht einverstanden sind, brechen Sie bitte die installation ab.

4th and final bit before my installation goes awry:<span id='postcolor'>

under check page should be written that you want to install BW-Mod Demo1.2 and you current OFP folder.

the only i can imagine is that you are usin GOTY, not OFP Resistance. if thats the case you will have to unpack the file manually an copy the data to their folders
