Thud_and_Blunder 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Many thanks again - that was b****y fast! After the last screen, the 2 installation boxes just clear. I'm not running OpFP, and when checking the programme folder I find that an empty BW Mod sub-folder has been added, but no other changes have been made (sigh...) Ex-RoNiN 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Do you have to select a path somewhere? Are there any boxes to tick? Does it give you an error of some sort? If none of this, then I dunno, soz m8
Thud_and_Blunder 0 Posted January 3, 2003 No errors reported so far. I'm going to have to knock this on the head (I'm a police pilot on shift, and we have a task coming up) but I'll shutdown/restart and try again later. You do yourself and your site immense credit with this sort of helpful response - I'm very grateful. cheers - drive safely

PSC 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Well, if nothing works after all, try to manually unzip the setup.exe (the file you downloaded). Right-click on it and choose something like "Decompress to..." or "Expand to...". After that put the addon files into the addon folder of OFP manually. PSC P.S.: </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Um fortzugahren, drucken Sie die Setup-Schaltflache<span id='postcolor'> That sounds just too funny =)
Major Fubar 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Some very nice addons in this one, but as has been said, not much new after the last demo. I would prefer if they released individual units or groups of units instead of 1 huge exe file (I hate self installers). Also disappointed, still no shadows! Not good enough, looks really tacky ingame! Anyway, enough complaints, there is some top notch addon making involved in this demo, well done!
Guest Posted January 3, 2003 It's kind of a case of convenience. It's much easier to download one file than 40. I know why some people don't like self-extractors, but it's better than forgetting to download addon no. 32, and finding that the whole thing doesn't work. Too many people would look at downloading each file individually and say "Forget it!" Also you can use a download manager, and put it on when you go to bed....wake up the next day and it has downloaded! No problems (except if your connection cuts out, in which case you can just resume). I always download big files this way over my crappy 56k connection. ExtracTioN 0 Posted January 3, 2003 Lucky me I have cable and I had downloaded the whole thing in 3 minutes without a download manager I download the file again now with a download manager to look how many minutes ............................ Finished 2 minutes and 12 seconds My connection rocks you people with 56k modems will get it really hard

Thud_and_Blunder 0 Posted January 4, 2003 PSC, MadMage and co. : Many thanks for your replies - I'll give the right-click plan a go right now. It's not GOTY, by the way.
