ThisBeCloud 0 Posted August 25, 2018 Hello, Do the developers will create a VR support for Oculus rift and HTC Vive ? It's just impossible to buy an expensive software (vorpx for 30$) for a game that has the ability to possess this kind of mode. Have a nice day.
beno_83au 1369 Posted August 25, 2018 ArmA 4, 1Q 2019, confirmed. One would hope ArmA 4(?) might support this though. 1
Flinty 454 Posted August 30, 2018 It would be inconceivable for VR support in Arma 3's current state. Think of this practically; how does your PC perform whilst running arma on ultra? Unless you've got a smashing PC, probably not too well. Now, for VR to work, you've essentially got to run Arma 3 on Ultra, twice. Aka having 2 Arma's running at once, both on ultra. Then, to prevent motion sickness, you'll need to make sure you're sitting comfortably at 90 FPS constantly, so you don't get lag spikes which WILL mess with your head in VR. Another factor to consider is the style of arma - how exactly would you be able to do half the stuff in arma without throwing up? I know I definitely couldn't! Long story short, no VR in arma 3, possibly in Arma 4, depending on how optimised the game is I guess.
