ArchAngel4507 0 Posted December 14, 2002 Thats almost right sniper, the pack we are planning to release on new years day will contain the A-Wing, Tie-Interceptor (not fighter), Rebel Pilot, Imperial Pilot, Storm Trooper and Rebel Soldier. its a pack containing the 3 of counterparts from the 2 factions (i.e. the A-wing and Tie-int. are both the high speed AA fighters from both sides etc). USMC Sniper 0 Posted December 14, 2002 Can you guys post some screens? Also, did Lucasarts get pissed at you for making these? I really don't want this happening to this, but then again the Star Trek versus Star Wars mod for Star Trek Armada didn't get flamed from Lucasarts. How are you guys simulating lasers? Did you make missiles in the shape of a laser blast colored red or green (red for Stormtrooper rifle and Rebel Blaster and A-Wing, and green for TIE's) that doesn't have an explosion for the blasters, but only for the ships? Did you simulate the ships as planes or helo's? In Star Wars, I think the ships had some kind of anti gravity thing that made them controlled like a VTOL aircraft. Â Mostly that is because we don't have enough people who can texture so we have to settle with basic ones until better ones are made... Well, we've heard nothing from Lucas Arts, and I don't think that we're big enough yet to attract their atention... Â And yes, the lasers are simulated by missiles, at least in the case of the A-Wings and TIEs... Â I think for now the ships are just handling like choppers, although I am not exactly sure, I didn't work on these units, but we're doing our best to figure out how to make them truly VTOL... 1B1KSniper 0 Posted December 21, 2002 Also, some news on the Operation Dark Tide mod which we are also hosting. We have several units now ingame... I am working on the fortifications for the islands and they should be done soon. We have one gunship with 2 variants finished except for cockkpit and textures.
