IceFire

Is this realistic?

Recommended Posts

Agreed! Gelatin is not elastic enough. But if you take that into account it's a good database. It's easier to work with gelatine than with dead pigs. And the results are easier to compare.

A combination of both methods will provide the best results, imo.

No thr DoD team has decided fro whatever reason not to add them. Also it dosnt have super accurate phyics. It has probably one of, if not the best damage system for a FPS out there, but still not totally realistic. People can still fight after a hit to the chest by a pistol round or the like (but a 7.92mm round from a Kar-98 just kills them outright)

Juts be warned about DoD, great game, but there are people who are '1337' Kiddies so be careful, stay still for two seconds on a bad server and you may be accused of camping, but on a good server you wont be.

Hmm, what is single player like? I don't really play multiplayer.

The closest you'll get to Single Player in DoD is Bots which you have to download seperately.

You're telling me this game doesn't have a singleplayer campaign?

How can a game not have a single player campaign?   Even Tribes2 had a small single player campaign. Multiplayer is stupid. I like singleplayer because the AI can work as a team and use tactics and strategy.

Thats right.

DoD is a free MP mod done to in the attempt to create a (fairly) realistic WW2 multi-player experiance. If it was a commerical game, then I could understand your frustration.

Um, lots of games are made just for the multiplayer... most games that are made for multiplayer have extremely crappy sp but great mp. Other games don't have a sp at all. It's not that special at all...

Of course it is realistic. We germans are super-humans and we take more bullets than ordinary sub-humans. Hell no way you can hurt me with a single grenade or scratch me with a entire M60 magazine fired at me. Those doods of MOHAA did intensive human experiments before delivering the game.

First of all, the game doesn't have m60s, second, if you would have one, you wouldn't have to empty a whole clip.

Next, a nade is deadly, even in MOHAA.

And most important, doods is wrong it is spelled d00ds.

Tsk...

What, of course there is an M60. Allready int the first campaign in Africa there is a door inside the building that leads to a time-machine that was built by the Nazis to import Stealth bombers from the 90ies. Did you misss that door? Anyhow once you get the key for the time-machine and turn it on in the terminal it will bring you to the area 51 in the 1990ies and you find yourself again in a ammo-room full of M60ies and Miniguns. Now if you missed that little extra-mssion then this means the game was over for you after you blew up the mine, so sad cause this actually is just a beginning. In the scond campaign you work with a Dealta unit of Roger Rabbits. wink.gif

And nowadays it is spelled "dudes"
