Has Arma 3 changed while I've been away?

Recommended Posts

I used to regularly build singleplayer test scenarios in Arma 3 until I got sidetracked into multiplayer, but now I've returned to the editor after a gap of almost a year and Arma 3 seems to have changed!
Specifically, whenever I try to set up tank platoon playtests with me in the command tank leading several other attached tanks, I can no longer issue orders to have them change formation or movement mode etc like I used to do.
For example in the old days my platoon would be labelled F1, so all I had to do was hit F1 then number 8 to get a list of formations to select from, but when I try it now, hitting F1 has no effect!

Any ideas?

The key binds have changed for APEX, but I believe you can still revert back to default  check those out.

Well the game get updates regularly, you just have to live with the new and improved features.

Although you can still use the old obsolete editor by pressing ctrl+O in the map selection screen.

There are keybind settings something like Apex arma, fps mode, original arma3, arma 2. Its in the keybinds menu.

The key for me to select all units is beside f1? Apart from that I still use 8 for formations etc.  alls the same command wise.

Eden editor after a short learning curve is far superior. It is worth learning spike.Using the M key can ease you into it.  all the shorcuts show up when you click on a unit. It will give you much more control over making a mission.

Thanks guys your suggestions helped me solve it (touch wood), it was the Apex keybind Presets that messed me up, so I switched back to the dear old Arma3 Presets and the dear old Ctrl-O Editor..:)

Another thing that seems to have changed behind my back is the server screen, this is how it looks now, so can I ask if this is how it also looks to everybody else?

I don't like it, for example where the heck have the filter controls gone?

And where's the box gone where I could type in the name of the server I'm looking for?

Is there any way I can get back to the dear old screen?

At the top of the server browser you have four tabs. With the "Server" tab selected, select the "Internet" sub-tab. Filter controls at the bottom.
