A-6 series of 2/4 man aircraft

Recommended Posts

I've used an A-10's CPP and modified that. The problem is once I've put everything togeather into OFP it doesn't show up in the editor.

I've got a question in regards to the placement of the payload.

Here's a couple of screen captures of a Mk81 payload.

bombs.gif

bombs2.gif

Is the placement of the bombs correct?

I've tried to find information/picture on the layout of payloads, but most are for the bigger payloads ( eg. Mk84's, Harpoon's, etc...)

please advise.

looks good, but I thought there are only 4 hardpoints under the wings and none under the middle part of the plane ( don't know the word in englisch for it ). And on all those 4 hardpoints there are 6 mk81's. so you have a total of 24.

keep up the good work

I've completed the Mk81(250lb)/82(500lb)/83(1000lb)/84(2000lb) free-fall bombs for the Intruders.

And will finish the beta of the 4 Intruders for everyone, in the next four day as I get the time.

I've got one armed with 22 Mk81's, another with 2 Mk84's(big bang for your buck with these babys) and 12 Mk82's, I've not decided what to arm the other two test planes with yet.

Update for those interested!! wink.gif

I've completed the Mk80 series of bombs, complete to the correct dimensions and details.

bombs4.jpg

And here's a screen shot of a bomb payload on a A-6E (includes Mk81's and a couple of Mk83's)

bload.jpg

Note that if a Mk83 or Mk84 misses hitting a target directly they both have a large area-of-effect, so you'll still might get the target with spash damage. wink.gif

Not sure!

But I've added the spec.s into the CPP, so even if they have been removed which I don't think has happened, they still work on the A-6E's.

Making a Beta today, but having a problem with the CPP, where I get the following message from OFP;

Config: ';' encountered instead of '{'

I've gone through the CPP about six times now and still can't find the problem.

Anyone help?confused.gif

About the Mk-80s-One the 3 larger ones it looks a little too fat in the front or too thin in the back part of the bom. I don't think the diameter changes that much in the Mk-80s. Very nice textures on them. smile.gif

That's beautiful. Looks quite the kickass model.

The A-6 was a vietnam staple, no doubt.

Bombs, wheee!

You should talk to the SEB Nam Pack guys if you want that to be included in the Air Module of their package... Hell, you could probably get it thee first download if you finished it within a week...

Screen capture of the A-6E Bomber in game. Small problem with the weight layout as you can see.  confused.gif

ingame.jpg

Untitled-2.jpg

Untitled-1.jpg

The other problem you can see is this A-6E also carries 2 Mk83's, but these don't show at the moment.  confused.gif

Any idea's anyone?

OFP only allows one type of detachable ordinance, meaning only one type of bomb or missile will show...

Have fixed ordnance issue with beta.

Beta will be a A-6E with a standard bomb load, containing the following ordnance;

28x Mk81 250lb bombs

Untitled-3.jpg

I've send a link to the beta testers today.

(please note that there are a few things missing or in need of change at the moment, which be fixed by next beta release)

The Mk81's are half the weight of the Mk82's, and hence the A-6E should fly almost a top speed with the Mk81's as the loads only 7000lbs verus 14000lbs.

I'll be adding a Mk82 loaded version on the A-6E to the beta testing soon, along with a Mk83 and Mk84 versions for bomb damage testing. wink.gif

Just received a screen capture of OPF starting with the following error message, from one of the beta testers;

"No entry 'config.bin/CfgWeapons.Mk_81_22'."

I've seen this sort of thing before, but can't remmeber what the fix was.

The odd thing about it is I've not had the problem myself and not had any comments about it fro the other beta testers.

Any ideas?

I'll check it again myself, but the number of times if done it, it starts to look OK.
