VXR 9 Posted May 11, 2002 the gear problem is solved but i cant steer the plane and getting higer or lower wont work de keeps on flying strait ahead
colonel_klink 0 Posted May 11, 2002 Hi Vixer I had the same problem with the Harrier and this is how I fixed it: In the memory LOD you need to create (or assign, if you are using a memory LOD already) several vetexes as the axis points for your undercarriage (this includes the wheel, strut, etc). Which would be where the pivot of the wheel assembly is, ie. in the wing or fuselage. The named pivots are: osa leveho kola (presumably the starboard wing wheel assembly) osa praveho kola (presumably the port wing wheel assembly) osa predniho kola (presumably the nose wheel assembly) I hope this helps. BTW Ive just posted a request for help to set the pivot animation in the right direction. Cheers 8) Klink

(select all vertexes and use the mass window) If it weights nothing it cannot steer.
VXR 9 Posted May 11, 2002 when i make up the mass he starts bouncing or just gets sucked up in the ground very strange but mass when i put in 60 what does it do (sorry but i want 2 learn this part)
PSC 0 Posted May 11, 2002 mass-value = Kg I think (but not absolutely sure). So you should enter something between 15000 to 25000 as value (depends on if you create an attack or fighter plane), since a F/A-18 has aprox. that weight. PSC
